Earlier I was meeting a friend to see the Clayface movie, except apparently they preempted our screening for an in-theater Heated Rivalry showing, so we walked into the theater and expected a flesh-melting horror flick and were instead greeted by Scott Hunter's sweaty jogging bod

I’m glad to see my hometown is holding strong blue, less thrilled that the town my dad now lives in remains a red stronghold
As a Long Island native (from a deep red part) this map fascinates me. LI is the Deep South broken up by occasional Black (deep blue Hempstead/Freeport), Latino (eg blue Bay Shore), and Jewish (blue Syosset, Plainview) areas, plus the liberal mecca of the Hamptons/North Fork.

I cop to buying ones that are like $60 as a fun treat, but then I find out about people buying ones that are $500 from Prada or whatever and I wither and die

There's a romance novel set in the Renaissance where the female protagonist has a years-long affair with an unnamed artist -- and at the very, very end we learn it's Michelangelo and I just went "HMMMM"

Absolutely loving how much "Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now" keeps popping up in these mixes

Agreed, but IIRC you'd still have menopause-like symptoms as a result (like hot flashes) even if it's not actual menopause

The book Defending Jacob plays with this. The narrator's teen son is accused of murder, & his dad is positive that he didn't do it. Without spoiling everything, the dad never wavers in his conviction + the courts land on another culprit, but it's heavily implied they're all wrong

I kind of love how she's still exactly who she always was, but in a way that's less villainous than she started as. "Yes, I'm a conniving striver -- but I'm *your* conniving striver now, Mama-In-Law :D"
