Irrelevant. Was still a deterrent. Brexit also thwarted day-to-day operational cooperation with EU nations, incl access to shared databases/policing frameworks e.g Europol/Eurodac, halting our ability to ID repeat entrants, prove prior presence in another EU state, etc. HTH.

That was 4.72% of UK deaths—fewer than one in twenty
Therefore, roughly 95% of estates paid none.
We’re talking about a tax which affects only the wealthiest estates.
