UPDATES FROM @BagsHackathon recently.
From the first cohort alone, Pentagon Pizza has been on and off. GSD ended up rugging, and Godmode seems to have faded as well.
From the second cohort, Nightwatch. still a mystery how this got $25K . It looked like a rug from the start, had an old Pumpfun token, and never really shipped anything afterward.
AgentKeys, or PredictOshi (fxnction), moved over to Pumpfun and unfortunately abandoned the Bags token almost immediately after winning.
The third cohort, despite receiving the smallest grants, seems to have been the most consistent group overall. Most of them are still locked in and building, with only a few exceptions.
This is what happens when the wrong people are rewarded simply because you choose to neglect and not dyor or even pay quality attention to an ecosystem initiative.
Someone said they expect us to feedback into the ecosystem. Feed back what exactly? You asked for builders, not marketers, you wanted to grow and sponsor new brains for your ecosystem. If you were just going to give away grants to already made projects so they can make noise for you, then just call it marketing.
This has to change. @BagsApp it’s time to wake up and finish what you started.
Stop chasing after shiny things with no significant value.
@finnbags has almost zero token holdings from all the hackathon winners combined, with just one being what was airdropped to him by the community. But he spends a lot of SOL buying memes that makes a joke of him, entertains and bullposts them.
He posted big week (yes, his favorite phrase) but for builders this time. Let’s see what happens.
