As a long-standing Tupac fan I can’t wait to read this! 👏👏❤️
For my debut for @empiremagazine, I wrote a long read on the great but short acting legacy of Tupac Shakur.
I interviewed his movie peers: Tim Roth, Thandiwe Newton, Bokeem Woodbine, Ernest Dickerson & Jim Belushi.
This is on newsstands worldwide right now; pls buy a copy!

Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up. 33 years ago I predicted I would do something so cool my 1st X Wife Roseanne would be forced to say something almost nice about me. Hell finally froze over today.

This past Valentine’s Day, 71-year-old Brad Reese, proud grandson of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups inventor H. B. Reese, posted a scathing open letter to the manager of corporate brand and editorial at Hershey, accusing the company of unforgivably altering many Reese’s products by replacing real chocolate with compound chocolate — basically using vegetable oils instead of cocoa butter to lower costs and replacing real peanut butter with “peanut-butter-style crèmes.”
“And Reese wasn’t alone in feeling like everything was getting worse,” writes Rachel Handler. “Everyone in my life I spoke to agreed that something was amiss, that Reese’s — and commercial chocolate in general — didn’t taste the way it used to.”
Handler would spend the next several months tumbling down a chocolate vortex, encountering dozens of eccentric characters, all disagreeing about the fundamental question of what chocolate even is and who it should be for.
“I learned that — not to sound like a LinkedIn guy — what’s going on with chocolate is a parable for the modern world. That at this particularly bleak end stage of capitalism, everything we once treasured has or will lose its essential essence and MrBeast will always be involved somehow.”
For our cover story, Handler takes a deep dive into the molten belly of the chocolate world. Read it in full: nymag.visitlink.me/vKKky_
POV: you’re a boy mum and spend a lot of your time building Star Wars fleets. #starwars #starwarslego #starwarslegos
(I also have a daughter and spend time playing barbies. In case she ever sees this).

Happy St Luke’s Day
Account to tradition the first icon painter but undoubtably an artist in words. From the Nativity to the most famous and influential parables.
I was nervous about publishing The Mothers of SW19. It received 26 full requests when I was querying it, but then it died on submission. People said lovely things, but no one thought there was a market for it. Fair to say that was NOT an accurate assessment 😂
Anyway, I’m still in a slight state of shock that it’s been such a hit, and still receiving brilliant reviews.Thank you to everyone who bought it, read it, and those who left a review. #bookstagram #book #bookish #bookrecs #bookclubofinstagram

Dior had no faith in the French police to protect their store so they brought in their own security team to protect the flagship store in Paris tonight

I’m French. 🇫🇷
And I’m tired of watching people confuse freedom with the freedom to destroy.
You have the right to protest.
You have the right to be angry.
You have the right to demand change.
You do NOT have the right to burn, loot or attack people.
A Republic that protects the right to protest must also protect its citizens from violence.
That’s not authoritarianism.
That’s the rule of law.
