Traditional market makers run algorithms on servers in New York, London, Frankfurt.
We run ours on-chain on Avalanche.
Same job. Completely different constraints.
Here’s why on-chain market making is harder and why it matters that we built it anyway. 🧵

On-chain market making also means trustless. You don’t have to trust a market maker to handle your capital fairly. Every action is on-chain, auditable, and governed by smart contracts. The strategy runs exactly as programmed. No discretion. No conflicts of interest.
On-chain isn’t always better than off-chain. It has real constraints. But for user capital? The trust model is completely different. A strategy that runs on-chain with your keys doesn’t require you to trust anyone. That’s worth the engineering constraints. → balcore.ai | Alpha open now
Every step forward starts with a stronger foundation.
Building the infrastructure for better liquidity, one step at a time.
The future of DeFi is being built.

Crypto trades 24/7.
Stocks don’t.
When you bring tokenized equities onchain, the AMM needs to understand market hours, price gaps, earnings events.
Standard AMMs don’t. @balcore_ai is being built to. 🟣
Your liquidity position goes out of range at 3am.
Most protocols: nothing happens. You wake up, you’ve lost.
Balcore: keeper detects it in seconds, rebalances automatically, position stays protected.
You didn’t do anything. That’s the point.

Before we open to the public, we’re focused on one thing: bootstrapping our own markets and building a live operating record.
The Balcore roadmap is live.
Before public launch, we’re bootstrapping our own markets, building a live operating record that proves impermanent loss can be managed and AMM market making can be a real business.
The roadmap covers: public launch timeline, mobile apps, new asset classes, cross-asset markets, and multi-chain expansion.
We’ll let the results do the talking.

Your assets. At work. 🔺
What if your capital could help make markets, earn swap fees, and stay under your control?
Balcore is building a smarter way to provide liquidity, tackling impermanent loss, inventory imbalances, and the complexity of active market making.
You keep custody. You stay in control. We handle the complexity.

I’ve just completed the initial mobile UI/UX for @Balcore_AI and put together this quick demo. I want someone who has never used blockchain to open Balcore, understand what their assets are doing and participate in market making without having to manage all the complexity behind it.
The way you earn is straightforward. You provide assets as liquidity on an automated market maker (AMM) decentralized exchange (DEX). Other people use that liquidity to swap assets, and you collect a share of the fees they pay. You are providing the assets that help execute and settle those swaps. You keep custody and control while putting your assets to work as a market maker.
The big problem we’re tackling is impermanent loss. As the pool changes the mix of assets you hold, your position can fall behind simply holding those assets, even while fees keep coming in. That shortfall can exceed the fees earned. Balcore is built to tackle this problem alongside inventory imbalances and the constant decisions about liquidity placement, adjustments and position defense. The objective is to keep fees ahead of impermanent loss so asset holders can continue participating.
For the person using the app, the experience should feel simple: add funds, choose a market, follow your position and fees, choose whether to autocompound, and withdraw. Balcore handles the ongoing market-making work in the background. That combination of self-custody and a hands-off experience is what I want this demo to show. We’ve spent years working through the complexity, and I’m putting the same care into making the product intuitive to use.

Most LP positions lose money.
Not because of bad tokens.
Not because of timing.
Because of a mechanic baked into every AMM that nobody explains clearly.
It’s called impermanent loss. Here’s the math, with real numbers. 🧵

Balcore’s approach: autonomous strategies that track volatility, widen ranges when needed, tighten when stable, and compound fees back into the position before IL compounds further. You don’t fight impermanent loss. You build a system that’s faster than it.
