Our DPWT team traded roads and hard hats for farm rows and work gloves! We joined other Baltimore County employees for a day of service at First Fruits Farm to harvest thousands of pounds of cabbages for neighbors in need.

#ALERT from @MDSHA: Belair Road at Plumer Avenue is partially closed due to water main break repairs. Crews on the scene report both northbound lanes are closed with two way traffic in the southbound lanes. Please proceed with caution if driving in the area.

We know residents have questions about the use of Susquehanna River water. This week, @BaltimoreDPW activated the Deer Creek Pump Station to draw water from the Susquehanna River and supplement the regional drinking-water supply. The water will be blended with reservoir water, fully treated and tested, and will continue to meet federal and state drinking-water standards. 💧 Update on Baltimore’s Water Supply (10/7/2026). DPW has activated the Deer Creek Pump Station to draw water from the Susquehanna River and supplement the City’s reservoirs during the ongoing drought. Please note: Susquehanna River water has NOT reached residents’ homes yet.
