Baltimore to pay $11 million to settle claims against its unconstitutional eviction law. tinyurl.com/336n4r2e A 2007 “abandonment ordinance” allowed landlords to lock out evicted renters and keep their clothes, furniture, family photos and other possessions.

An unlicensed cab driver is charged with kidnapping a 15-year-old girl and forcing her into his basement apartment on Garrison Boulevard in Northwest Baltimore.
Police say he stabbed her at least 5 times, leaving her with a collapsed lung.
She fought back and hit him with a fire extinguisher then ran down the street naked and bloody where she eventually got help. @wjz

The ROAR Center closed abruptly last week, @raniound reports. The center provided legal help, counseling and other services to victims of violent crime.

We have a SERIOUS problem with accountability in the Baltimore area. Police say there is little they can do about a man living in a #sewer like the killer clown from the movie "IT" despite his harassment of a mom's children in Baltimore County b/c the sewer is "public property."
