Big news as Aviva Investors announces the launch of a tokenized share class of the Aviva Investors Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger.
The Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund is Aviva Investors’ largest fund at around £22 billion in assets under management, and this move marks an expansion of Aviva Investors’ tokenised fund offering, following the launch of its tokenized USD Liquidity Fund in July.
Investors receive the same protections as those in the conventional fund, which was initially launched in 2002.

The Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund is an Ireland-domiciled UCITS money market fund. Komainu provides regulated custody, with Ripple and Licuido supporting.
More than £86M is now invested across Aviva’s two tokenized share classes, making it one of Europe’s largest providers of tokenized money market funds.

Evernorth has the option, not the obligation, to sell new shares to Cantor Fitzgerald’s CF Principal Investments over roughly 14 months. Evernorth chooses the timing and size.
When it does, Cantor buys at 97% of that day’s VWAP, and Evernorth keeps the cash. Cantor then resells the shares in the market. Evernorth receives nothing from those resales.
Cantor’s ownership is capped at 4.99%, so this is a financing tool and not a strategic stake.
No shares have been sold yet. The facility only becomes usable after the SEC clears the resale registration.

XRP is included in the CTX crypto index as an Eligible Component, with a 4.36% index weight and a 4.41% fund weight after the fund’s additional screens.
The index holds 36 assets across five tiers, and the fund narrows that to 24. XRP clears the screens and is weighted slightly higher in the fund than in the index.
