Sport: "Jumpstart for El Clasico"

🚨 DID YOU KNOW: Hansi Flick has been forced to use 10 different defensive lineups in 12 matches due to numerous absences. The latest came against PSG, with a back four consisting of Espart, Cubarsí, Gerard Martín, and Cancelo.

🚨🗣️ Thibout Courtois: "For me, the Clásico matches, even when one of the teams arrives at a better level than the other sometimes, are always 50/50. "We are two different teams and we play different football, I think they are a very attacking team."

🚨 NEW: Florentino Pérez will NOT travel to Barcelona for El Clasico on Sunday. There will also be NO traditional pre-match lunch between the Barcelona and Real Madrid boards. Relations between the two clubs remain completely broken. — @mundodeportivo

🚨 José Mourinho has started making EXCUSES ahead of El Clasico: "At this time we already have 24 hours less of rest than Barcelona have for El Clasico."

Today's recovery session. 💪

🚨 CRAZY STAT: Lamine Yamal has reached DOUBLE FIGURES for both goals and assists this season. He is the FIRST player in Europe’s top five leagues this season to reach 10+ goals and 10+ assists.

🚨 NEW: Jules Koundé is now considered VERY UNLIKELY to be fit enough to start El Clásico. The Frenchman is still suffering from a painful ankle sprain and significant limping. Barça’s staff are currently pessimistic, with the main objective now being to have him available on the bench as an emergency option. — @mundodeportivo

Carles Puyol: "Before I became a defender, I started as a goalkeeper because I wanted to play in the same team as my brother." "Later, because of back problems and my mother's advice, I moved outfield and started playing as a forward."

🚨 BREAKING: The Real Madrid fans show this banner during their UCL game vs. Leipzig: "No impunity for Negreira."

🚨 Xavi Espart: "It's an honor to be compared with Phillip Lahm, but I try to carve my own career path." "I can also play left back, right back, and in midfield. I'm a full back who tends to cut inside." "He's a legendary player, it makes me happy that Flick compares me to him."

🚨 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗡: Barcelona have now gone 18 CONSECUTIVE Champions League matches WITHOUT A SINGLE CLEAN SHEET under Hansi Flick. The Catalan giants have conceded 3+ GOALS in 7 of their 29 UCL matches under Flick. ❌

What do you expect for El Clasico? 🚨 Xavi Espart: "It will be war. We will give everything we have. We must be 100% ready." "We have the chance to widen the gap, so we will fight until the end."

Carles Puyol: "My two years at La Masia were very special. Living close to Camp Nou and being part of Barça's academy was something I always valued enormously." "I even played as a striker in the youth team."

Carles Puyol: "When I got the chance to trial for Barça, I found myself alongside players with incredible technical quality like Xavi Hernández and Mario Rosas." "I wasn't really the typical profile Barça looked for, but I kept fighting for my opportunity."

🚨 JUST IN: Martinez Munuera will be the REFEREE for EL CLASICO. Iglesias Villanueva will be at the VAR. — @JuanfeSanzPerez

Carles Puyol: "At 15, I was already playing for La Pobla's first team because there was no youth system." "When I was 16 or 17 and preparing for a trial with Zaragoza, my coach Mauri would train my power by making me lift pallets in temperatures around zero degrees."

🚨 NEW: Lamine Yamal has now scored or assisted in TEN consecutive matches for Barcelona. Only Leo Messi has produced longer streaks for Barça since 2013/14.

🚨 Xavi Espart is dealing with ANKLE DISCOMFORT following Barcelona’s defeat to PSG. Espart was substituted in the 74th minute as a precaution after experiencing pain in his ankle. Despite the concern, Barça remain optimistic that he will be available for Sunday’s El Clásico against Real Madrid. — @mundodeportivo
