Carraghers reiteration that Man U are still bigger than us does more harm than good for his fragile reputation. It smacks of having the last word and prime rabbit hole syndrome without considering the full history of Association Football. Teams raise and fade, its cyclical.
The thrust of the post was that Villa would not be allowed to be as big as Utd. The EPL is not a level playing field and it hinders other clubs competing financially with big revenues. My argument was the disrespect from someone in the public eye who should have know better
I seem to have opened a large can of Yanited worms in my timeline.
Haaland 9.5 year contract you say. Small fry.
Go on then Villa

When I read this, I thought back to Deano and the strategic road map of 2019, a five year plan for CL. So it is astounding now to see the Club plan so far ahead. An integrated vision of unified aspirations that will take us firmly into the next decade. In Unai we Trust #avfc
Aston Villa held an important working meeting today to plan the club's future and lay the foundations for its long-term sporting and institutional project.
The meeting brought together Nassef Sawiris, the club's Chairman and Unai Emery alongside President of Football Operations Roberto Olabe and Director of Football Operations Damián Vidagany.
The discussions focused on jointly planning the club's long-term strategic direction, with positive discussions establishing a clear commitment beyond 2029 for the joint development of the club under the sporting leadership of Unai Emery based on the shared ambitions and common goal to reach excellency and keep growing during the next years.
The objective is clear: to build an ambitious, competitive Aston Villa capable of taking on the biggest challenges and achievements.
They really do know how to soften the blow afer a defeat #avfc

Just imagine the same scenario at Utd and they have that group pic with Carrick, Wilcox and the Glazers. Nope I cant see it as well.

I cant help but feel that we could have got something out of that game. Scoring first half was key and we had chances aplenty without scoring. The game was also hard enough without mistakes, but chasing the game was asking too much against a very good side. Top 8 is not beyond us
It would not be too generous to say that we should be level or even leading into HT. The error sprang us into life and we produced decent chances. Their high line needs to be exploited better, there are goals to be had in the second half.
Kick off approaching, nervous anticipation for the game. One thing we all know is that they will leave everything out on that pitch tonight. Whatever the result, we win, draw and lose together. UTV
What will this week bring. Barca and Yanited away. We are not far away from clicking although the second half on Sat Night was worrying. This team is capable of beating anybody on their day, Citeh showed that. A draw at Barca and beat Yanited before the break would be a good week
Tonight highlighted not what we can do but what we cant do when put under pressure. It was surprising how flat we went second half after a great first. Part of the process is how to react to pressure, tonight was concerning how we lost our way. A point is a point tho.🦁
We will become stronger and tighter as a unit, when we can rely and regularly use over 15 of our matchday squad. The depth of squad is satisfying to see as minutes will be managed for Barcelona next week.
Its a level playing field, if you overlook the PL rules, the inflated money used to create a divide between them and us. You can now add to that list ex players who plough a living by slandering, according to him, 'Smaller Clubs. The proverbial straw has broken the camels back.
