Is every Sleeper account run by the same trash merchant or do they clone you all in a special stew of sucktitude?

LOL these were the predictions made by ESPN before that series.
On this date in 2012, Pablo Sandoval became the 4th player in MLB history to hit 3 HR in a single World Series game. He joined Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson, and Albert Pujols as the only players to do so. 💥 Sandoval would go on to win World Series MVP hitting .500 in the Giants 4 game sweep of the Tigers. 🏆

The community note. 😂
Just a friendly reminder that the Dodgers had the Brewers on the ropes and would’ve beaten them 9/10 times

There’s something ironic about John Smoltz praising Jacob Misiorowski for his elite extension and low release height, then hating on “Analytics” moments later.

Totally random observation. Both World Series teams had a negative home run differential in 2026 while having the best record in their respective leagues. That is not what I would have guessed.

Generally, winning the home run battle is a good indicator of the win-loss record. Typically, there might be one or two teams with a positive home run differential and a losing record, but there were quite a few of those this year.

The World Series starts today. The AL's best team vs the NL's best team. Two fanbases that have never won before. The style of play everyone claims they are desperate to see. This is going to rock.

Christian Yelich told me that every spring he’d block off 4-5 hours for a dinner with Bob Uecker to hear his stories. So as the Brewers prepare to play in the World Series, Yelich has found himself thinking about his close friend. “He would have loved getting to experience this postseason run and being here for it,” Yelich said. “In a lot of ways, we feel like he’s still here with us.” fansided.com/mlb/brewers-wor…

Todd Benzinger played for the #SFGiants from 1993 to 1995, the final stop in his Major League career. We join the baseball world in mourning his passing, and our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time 🧡
The Cincinnati Reds are saddened by the passing of former first baseman and 1990 World Series champion Todd Benzinger. Todd will be remembered with great affection and gratitude for his place in one of the most memorable chapters in Reds history. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, former teammates and all who knew and loved him.

Interestingly, the Giants look like they have more scouts on the international side than most teams, and that has paid off. They also look like they have one of the smaller amateur scouting teams.
The success of the Brewers and Rays is no accident. These World Series teams are both at the top of the league in scouting staff size ⚾️ BA contributor Kyle Glaser has more on the people powering the Brewers and Rays ⤵️ buff.ly/o6pJbfI

There is a subtle Giants-Rays connection. One of Tampa Bay's play-by-play broadcasters, Doug Waechter, is a former big league pitcher and the father of the Giants' 2026 second-round pick, Kaden Waechter.

Not surprisingly, Tanner Mally gets the nod here, as he quickly proved to be above the competition level of Low-A.
223 picks from the 2026 MLB Draft made their pro debuts this summer. Here's the prospect who fared the best from each organization: atmlb.com/3UGcnqj

Kind of an interesting note. Trent Harris had the second-highest release point in baseball in 2026. At 73.2 degrees, only Taylor Rashi had a higher release point.

Also, you gotta have Stephen Strasburg on this roster. Strong case for Matt Cain as well.
