To Robert, these aren't crazy demands. They're a simple ask: affirmation of the same dignity, safety, and self-definition every other community receives, and the same legitimacy for Jewish statehood that every other nation receives.
Robert remains hopeful about the next couple of weeks. He is inviting Dr. El-Sayed to engage directly with his concerns and demonstrate with words and conduct that he understands and respects our community’s baseline needs.

AMERICAN COMEBACK. My friend @SaraLJaffray was a sick, obese, 28-year old married mom with high cholesterol & chronic fatigue on blood pressure medication, whose hair was falling out.
She found a way to get it together, got in shape, and thankfully all her medical maladies went away. Clean bill of health. Total life transformation. Gave up her food addiction, swapped it for the gym. Even returned with her husband to church.
Then she got trucked by cancer earlier this year, which she has now beaten as well after grueling regimens of radiation & chemo. Her success was due in no small part to the habits, resilience & health she developed during her prior life transformation.
Sara is the one who convinced me to get back on Facebook and jumpstarted my account by helping me get my first 1500 followers over there on my first day.
Sara reminds me of the saying, "Be the change you want to see in the world."
Sara describes herself as a typical "White mutt" American. But far from being a "mutt," she embodies American excellence.
Everywhere you look these days it seems like America is in decline. We need a Renaissance. If we're to have one, it'll be due to the collective efforts of millions of Heritage Americans putting in the work just like Sara has.
