A promising new talent is making her mark in Indian tennis! Just 14 years old, Jensi Kanabar has received a wild card entry into the qualifying draw of the Chennai Open WTA tournament.
Jensi is currently ranked No. 44 in the world in the ITF Under-18 junior rankings. She has also impressed on the ITF women's circuit this year, reaching the second round in Ahmedabad and the semifinals in Delhi.
At the Chennai Open, Jensi will face Poland's fifth seed Weronika Falkowska in the opening round of qualifying.

Diana Shnaider's Inspiring Story: From Young Talent to WTA Champion!

Leylah Fernandez looks deeply disappointed after losing the championship final in Tokyo. It honestly breaks my heart to see her like this.
She has played incredible tennis throughout this month and the entire Asian swing. She has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
Maybe her season is now over. If so, she truly deserves some well-earned rest. ❤️

Diana Shnaider wraps up her 2026 season in style, claiming the Toray Pan Pacific Open title!
After taking a 6-4, 4-0 lead, Shnaider faced a strong comeback from Leylah Fernandez. She held her nerve under pressure, saving a 0-40 deficit early in the deciding set before sealing a 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 victory.
What a comeback by Leylah Fernandez after losing the first set! She takes the second set 7-5 and continues to play brilliant tennis in her bid for the title.
Tallon Griekspoor and Anastasia Potapova during her match against Marta Kostyuk in Madrid.
Tallon: “You need to believe in yourself.”
Anastasia: “I do.”
Tallon: “No, you don't.” 😅
DIANA SHNAIDER AFTER THE MATCH:
“Honestly, I feel this match deserved to be a final. Both of us played at an incredible level. There were moments when I genuinely thought I wouldn’t be able to win because she was playing unbelievable tennis.
But I kept reminding myself to stay focused and keep fighting…”
