#Karnataka govt’s tests of 63 petrol samples across seven districts have found #ethanol content exceeding the 20% limit, with IOCL samples recording 31.2% and HPCL 30.5%. #Bengaluru was among the districts where violations were detected.
Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister @ArshadRizwan Arshad has demanded action against oil companies, an E20 compensation fund for consumers facing mileage loss and vehicle damage, mandatory disclosure of ethanol content at fuel pumps and the option to buy E10 petrol.
The state will send its report to the Centre.
