Remembering Former Indian captain Bishan Singh Bedi on his death anniversary.
One of the best left arm spinners to ever play the game, Bedi played 67 Tests for India between 1967 & 1979 taking away 266 wickets. He took 1560 First Class wickets which speaks volume for his skill set.
Bedi was an advocate for #INDvsPAK bilateral cricket series.
He said, "Why politicise cricket? Cricket is a platform to come closer. I am not talking anti-India if I am asking for a cricket series with Pakistan. Let’s not narrow down the meaning of patriotism.”
He was a close friend of former Pakistan Captain Mushtaq Mohammad and some other Pakistani cricketers of that era.

I feel, Shoaib Malik underachieved with his immense talent. He wasn’t treated fairly as well tbh!

Dennis Lillee talked to Sachin Tendulkar and famously advised him to stop trying to be a fast bowler and focus on batting.
In 1987, a 14-year-old Sachin Tendulkar visited the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai, India, hoping to train as a fast bowler.
Dennis Lillee, who was the head coach and director of the academy, observed Tendulkar and told him to forget about bowling and concentrate entirely on his batting.
Tendulkar followed the advice, shifting his focus to become one of the greatest batsmen in cricket history, finishing his career with 100 international centuries.
