🚨🎙️ Cunha on his heated altercation with Michael Carrick after Manchester United’s defeat to Bournemouth: 🎙️Reporter: We noticed an uncomfortable conversation between you and Carrick after the game. What was it about? 🗣️Cunha: Honestly, after the game, I already knew something like that was going to happen. Carrick walked up to me and said, “You couldn’t even get a shot on target, and you’re supposed to be helping Dalot on the flank.” I looked at him because I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I said, “But you were the one who instructed me to invert, get inside the box and try to make things happen. Now, after leaving Bruno on the bench, you’re standing here blaming me for not getting a shot on target?” I asked him, “What exactly did you expect me to do? Who was supposed to create the chances today? Bruno was sitting on the bench, and you’re blaming the players on the pitch for not producing something out of nothing. I don’t know what else you expected from me. I’m a footballer, but I’m not Messi. I cannot create everything by myself.” I told him I genuinely tried my best, but he felt I was also questioning his tactics. That wasn’t exactly what I was trying to do. We understand that he’s trying different things, and we respect his decisions, but sometimes the players watching from the bench can see things differently. We could see the problems, and maybe things would have been different if we had started with our strongest XI. You cannot tell me to follow your instructions, get inside their box, watch us get destroyed, and then blame me for the very things you told me to do. I followed the plan I was given. If you want me to take responsibility, that’s fine, but everybody has to take responsibility. Because honestly, if the tactics were right from the start, why did Bournemouth make us look like we’d never played football together? You cannot blame one player for everything when the entire team struggled. Sometimes, you have to look at the bigger picture.

Exactly!
🚨Owen Hargreaves on Bruno Fernandes playing zero minutes in Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth: “This game shows us what Manchester United could have been all these years. There’s a reason why this team looks different when Bruno is in form and struggles when he isn’t. Imagine United had won this game. Everyone would have been praising Carrick and talking about his decisions. But now, losing 3-0 at Old Trafford without Bruno playing a single minute raises serious questions. Bruno has been here since 2020. Season after season, he has been one of our best players. He is the captain, the leader, and the man who has carried this team on his back when others failed. And now you bench him because he spoke honestly after the Como game? That is not how a serious football club operates. When your captain speaks out, you should ask yourself why he is frustrated. Instead of listening to him and examining the team’s problems, you punish him for saying what he believes. Manchester United have bigger problems than one player making a statement. If Bruno is telling you something is wrong, maybe the club should investigate the tactics instead of turning against its own captain. Losing 3-0 at Old Trafford is disgraceful. Carrick needs to take responsibility for his decisions, and if Bruno was benched because of what he said, then an apology is the least he deserves. You cannot keep failing as a club and then punish the one player who has spent years trying to carry you.”

🗣️ Bruno Fernandes speaking to Sky Italia: “At this club, there’s too much focus on what’s been done in the past, but we’re not those people anymore. The club and the players need to understand that." “Unfortunately for us, especially when it comes to the players, those who join expect to win trophies, win games, and reach the highest level, but unfortunately, that's been very difficult at this club in recent years. That's the situation.” [@SkySport via @NathSalt1]

According to my source, Matheus Cunha had an altercation with Michael Carrick last night at half-time, and what followed created serious friction in the dressing room. Cunha’s frustration stemmed from what he perceived as a lack of collective effort. He reportedly argued that the team wasn’t functioning as a unit, with some players working hard while others were strolling around the pitch. Not everyone took kindly to that assessment. Some players reportedly felt Cunha was disrespecting them by suggesting they weren’t giving their best. Cunha also questioned the decision to play Bruno Fernandes as a false nine. His argument was that the system wasn’t working because there was nobody occupying the right positions to receive the ball in the final third. He reportedly urged the coaching staff to make a tactical adjustment. Bruno wasn’t happy with that criticism. He responded angrily, insisting he was simply carrying out the manager’s instructions. Things escalated from there, with several players, including Bruno, confronting Cunha over what they perceived as him blaming individuals rather than accepting collective responsibility. Carrick was unhappy with the situation, and this is said to have contributed to his decision to substitute Cunha. My source also claims the dressing-room tension affected the team’s performance in the second half, which is why they conceded three more goals, because they were not in the right frame of mind. Michael Carrick has not only lost the dressing room; the players have also lost trust in each other. Crazy times at Manchester United.
According to my source, Michael Carrick lost the dressing room at Manchester United following the reintegration of Marcus Rashford into the squad. I’m told Carrick assured Rashford that he would play a major role in his plans for the season. However, this reportedly raised concerns among other players, particularly Matheus Cunha, who wanted clarity on his role given that he and Rashford operate in similar positions. Cunha is understood to have approached Carrick over the situation, but Carrick reassured him that Rashford’s return would not affect his playing time. Despite those assurances, Carrick’s decision to repeatedly start both players together, even when the combination wasn’t working, reportedly became a source of frustration within the squad. The Manchester City game was reportedly the breaking point. That was the moment several players lost faith in Carrick’s decisions, with trust in Michael Carrick said to have deteriorated significantly. There’s also growing discontent among some players over the board’s decision to sack Ruben Amorim last season. They reportedly believe Amorim had established a clearer footballing structure and that the team performed better under him, despite the disappointing results. Lisandro Martínez is reportedly among those who hold this view. This could also explain his apparent frustration after the match against Atlético Madrid. We are really in crazy times at Manchester United.

It’s very obvious Bruno’s drop in form is down to losing belief in the club which is sad. But he has enough credit in the bank to say what he wants and unfortunately he is speaking the truth here. INEOS will want fans to turn on Bruno here, but Bruno got told to reject other offers and stay here to see us be the only top club refuse to spend over £65m on a single player this summer! He realised the ownership lied and were not bothered about doing the work to compete.
Bruno Fernandes to Sky Italia: “At this club, there’s too much focus on what’s been done in the past, but we’re not those people anymore. “The club and the players need to understand that. “Unfortunately for us - especially when it comes to the players - those who join expect to win trophies, win games, and reach the highest level, but unfortunately, that's been very difficult at this club in recent years. That's the situation.” #mufc

Going after Bruno is wild to me! Given everything to the club the last 5 years and singlehandedly got us in the Champions League. Only to be rewarded with a summer of weakening the team and giving the manager's job to an inexperienced coaching team. Every right to be pissed off

Yet some people throwing shade at him! We all know those who are criticizing him and why!
Without Bruno Fernandes, we wouldn’t be in the UCL right now. Without Bruno Fernandes we’d have been relegated in 24/25. He turned down generational wealth to stick with this club because he wanted to win HERE. The fact he stayed means he believed. The fact he believed means he was made to believe. He was spun the same tale and failed the same way we all were this Summer! Bruno has played at this club for almost SEVEN years and his personal achievements are the kind you find in a player who has won major trophies. Or should have. But not Bruno. Personally, he has won Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year five times, Premier League Player of the Season, PFA Players Player of The Year and Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year. And he has made history, both for Manchester United and in the Premier League. But with this team, across these years, all he has to his name is a Carabao Cup and an FA Cup. And now he’s faced with the reality of aging that all footballers must face, whilst another year of his career is chalked off and he’s surrounded by scrutiny and abuse. Bruno Fernandes, I don’t blame you for being frustrated and tired. Because I am too.

Manchester United may blame Carrick but the sad truth is that Glazers have ruined the club for a long time ,The Biggest problem is sacking Ruben Amorim ,they corrupted the media to push false narrtives while he just needed more time to build the squad
