Thanks UA Jones for taking it up a notch with us from the whites at Rolling Meadows today! The 💨 added another dimension to the challenge also! Christian and Harrison tied for low with a pair of 36’s and the team put up a strong 155. Go Celtics!

Scioto Country Club recently underwent a restoration with Andrew Green to bring back Donald Ross's complex green shapes and above-ground features. We sat down with @GreenGCA to discuss the project and the course as a whole. Watch in 4K on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=_Lx8PZQ5…

Root Shear on the Golf Course

A mild winter day can be a great chance to play golf, but there is a risk of serious course damage if the surface thaws and soil is frozen below. Learn more about the risk of root shear.

No half measures at Scioto! They wanted a total re-set from their mid-century Dick Wilson program and went all in bringing back the course’s Ross-iness under the vision of @GreenGCA. After/before pics are the 5th and 8th holes (pre-hole photo credit to Gary Keller). #fearless

Killer job by @GreenGCA at Scioto. Restoring this course back to the Donald Ross design from where it was is an incredible effort. A stunning topography is now accentuated by the newfound width and the return of the intricate and varied Donald Ross greens and hazards.

Scioto has been revealing itself in meaningful ways. The dirt just seems to work. Uncovering it’s past with an eye to the future has been a tremendous honor! The once famed 17th was lost in the 1960’s.

When the stars align and the weather cooperates, this is absolutely spot on. Unfortunately, in much of the states, it doesn’t happen very often. Conditions at RM are superb this week.
