"Daydream believer" is one of my all time favourite songs. This is an incredibly good version and very moving. So much talent shut away.
There has to be something better.
Yet this shows that talent shines even in the worst of times and places.
Our HMP Birmingham choir performing “Daydream Believer” 🎶
This year our choirs won 14 @KoestlerArts awards, bringing our total to 56. Each award shows the dedication of participants & musical directors, highlighting the impact of creative #artsinprisons.

"This only buys the government some time. By this time next year, if not sooner, they'll be facing the same issues again... That's why the sentencing review is so important" - @neilsonandrew.

Switchback was on @BBCLondonNews Politics talking about the government's early release scheme and why people leaving prison need effective support to build stable lives. A pleasure to appear with @Frankie_Mack @Uma_Kumaran @sarahjolney1 and great to see our partners @XOBikes too!

What a week! The first ever #JanJailJam has been such a joy ❤️
We rounded things off with musical leadership training delivered by @cloverwillis in York. Participants learn to teach music accessibly through repetition and call&response, and to work in the prison setting! 🥳 1/

Santa was a bit late this year delivering copies of the HMP Dartmoor Carol Service, but the men were thrilled to have a memento of their fantastic performance. Well done all. #PrisonMusicWeek #JanJailJam

Love this .... Will never forget a visit to HMP Swaleside when I saw a group of prisoners learning how to record and mix music. They were 100% wrapped up in it.
Inspirational way for them to express themselves, learn new skills and find a job when they leave.
