The start of Yuga and the development of BAYC was funded by a few months of my salary, some of Wylie’s last bits of savings, and about 15k we made rescuing lunar felines and finding them new homes on the blockchain

Prob one of the most fun days in crypto was when we all discovered that latent smart contract and were trying to figure out how to get them fucking cats off the moon asap.
Was partly the inspiration behind some of the more egalitarian mechanics of the BAYC mint (flat price, 1 ape = 1 ape). Remember thinking we just gotta make it feel as magical as when we found the cats.
I'm curious if you, garga, own the first appearance of fully onchain art on ethereum called MoonCats?
The cats that are all unique and independent since 2017. Cause in a Blockchain fact the true provenance of mooncats are onchain DNA when punks were just incremental IDs.
I'm really curious, if we even understand each other? Does onchain matter or not?

NFT antiquities and historical NFTs that pioneered the space will hold significant value because they’re simply a bet on society becoming more digital.
You can’t go back and recreate those firsts.
Combine that with holders who won’t sell, treating their NFTs like modern fine art, and a steady stream of new demand and you’ve got a compelling setup.

On January 31st, 2026 the UIs for NFTX V2 and V3 will be switched off.
The protocols will remain active (as smart contracts live forever), but will no longer be supported or managed by the original team.
While this does mark the end of support for NFTX, we are continuing our mission to build radical products onchain through Flayer Labs.
The future will be onchain, and we're going to push the boundaries of what decentralized infrastructure can enable
