Iβm having a hard time finding it. But The Last Of Us tv show won 8 Emmyβs this weekend. Did anybody thank Naughtydog and the developers for making this a reality ? Or acknowledge the fact that a video game achieved such a high level pf excellence that it started all this?

Boy I feel bad for composers these days. the music AND game industries combined are screwed. streaming doesnβt pay anything (quite literally) and composers are lowballed in contracts which means they donβt earn anything from sales. So many layoffs in both industriesβ¦ gg

So, a little bird at Unity (not revealing my source for OBVIOUS reasons) suggests that if developers want to get the execs to pay more attention, it might be worth loudly boycotting or seeking refunds for the upcoming Unite conference scheduled for November.

Exceedingly disappointed that @SoundsnapReal would send me a promotional email suggesting I fire my composer because their library is pretty complete. What a complete disrespect for a discipline so closely related to the market they're trying to sell to.
