Dire que ma thèse s'ouvre sur une citation de @GMeurice... Par les temps qui courent, on y verrait presque un acte militant.

Reading ch. 35 of Akane-banashi, I was awe-struck by @translatosaurus' fantastic translation. Not only did he manage to superbly adapt idiomatic wordplays (on Japanese temple naming conventions) into English 🇯🇵🇳🇿 and keep them funny, but he had to do all of that in 1(!) WEEK 💀!
Big shout-out to the letterers, too! @SnirAharon, Sabrina Heep, and others do such a tremendous, yet underappreciated job. *Their* work is what truly makes the translations shine. The font choice the placement of the letters, everything is just 😘🤌
