Sinner is a bigger shock for me than Nadal in '09, because Nadal was injured and shouldn't have been playing. Sinner though does not seen to have heeded the warnings from Aus Open to sort his conditioning? Unless that's too harsh and there's something unknown going on...

With no Alcaraz, his level is so much higher than everyone else. He had to be one of the heaviest favourites going into any Slam since Nadal's pre-Djokovic heyday. And even Rafa had Roger to contend with. Sinner had no one... except the heat

Listening to commentators talk about post-partum recovery on the monobob at the Olympics... we are moving on. It's slow progress, but it is progress. Chapeau #MilanoCortinaOlympics2026

Thursday six nations? Yes please. In play ads? Absolutely hideous. Not all of us are watching on huge screens. Profit over product. As per. I’d rather have next to no half time chat and extra ads then. And I say this as someone whose parents both ran advertising agencies.

Alcaraz has got to be loving this. Yes he was physically tested but he has been in recovery for a while - and if he winds up playing Novak, he's got that advantage plus age on his side... #AusOpen

Meh. Sabalenka nowhere near her best - she often isn’t early in tournaments and plays herself back to form. But what that’s supposed to do for women’s tennis… when Kyrgios is nowhere near the force he once was and yet beat her easily despite the supposed weighting of the court

I just… don’t see what this does bar make some headlines. Plenty of fodder for misogynists, keyboard warriors and those prejudiced against women’s tennis. Yeah. Just…. Doesn’t help for me

What a wonderful night to have been working and thus able to follow the cricket score. Australia have bowled exceptionally well but England look like rabbits in the headlights... again #Ashes

Raining heavily at Spa. Of course it is. Yet to find out if there will be a standing start or not... #F1

Bearing in mind heir seasons, Eala beating Krejcikova would not be an upset in my book. #Wimbledon

Ahhh tennis. The most fun of sports where you can have two similar looking players in identical kit and visors so you can’t see their faces and you have the fun time working out who is who (disclaimer - I do know who is who. Just)

Not the best thing I've ever penned but for any girls who saw the original tweet - rugby is for you, 100%. These idiots can get in the bin. Want to write about rugby? Flipping go for it! tntsports.co.uk/rugby/six-na…

Massively underwhelming men’s final. Thank god for the women’s final, women’s semis were better too. After years of the men’s game dominating, loving the narratives on the women’s side at the moment #AusOpen

Sinner in a spot of physical bother against Rune - and everyone eying up the top half of the men's draw takes a deep breath. #AusOpen
