Having access to a device will allow a pupil to participate in their online learning, & importantly, keep in touch with their teachers & friends. Many students have otherwise been unable to communicate with friends throughout the multiple lockdowns. #digitaldivide #bridgingthegap
Through generous donations, we have been able to provide primary and lower schools with devices. This will allow students to continue their studies and participate in valuable face to face teacher time.

Over the last 11 months, as a community, we have been able to deliver over 1600 digital devices to students. This allows pupils to participate, communicate with teachers and keep relationships with friends.

As a county, we are incredibly lucky to have such generous individuals, organisations & trusts. Without their support we wouldn’t have been able to deliver this number of students the chance to participate and continue in their home learning.

The team delivering devices to schools impressively delivered 540 devices to 56 schools in one day. With the support of so many individuals & organisations we were able to co-ordinate this drop in 6 hours - thank you to all helpers!

We are dedicating the next few days to looking at the impact the Big Device Drops have made on Bedfordshire’s schools as well as celebrating the schools who we met over an 11 month period.

A successful device drop across Bedford Borough and Central Beds earlier today. With an increased no. of devices in schools, we hope that more students will be able to complete home learning and unleash their potential #digitaldivide #bedfordshire #tech4all

"We're full of hope from all the stories we've been hearing of people young and old doing incredible things. They prove what everyone is capable of and if we all unite we can make a real difference. It doesn’t take much, even a smile can brighten a day"
