Lesley Urbach, my @Gen2GenUK mentor, was a major influence over the format and content of the story I tell, as a G2G speaker, in schools and synagogues about my father's Bergen-Belsen liberation story. theguardian.com/world/2026/a… #LesleyUrbach #Obituary #LeonardBerney #BergenBelsen

The erudite, angry, powerful @simon_schama on why calling the Israel-Hamas war ‘a genocide’ is a blood libel and antisemitism. I hope the Labour politicians sitting in the room for the @HolocaustUK dinner felt uneasy.

“אז אל תעזו לומר ש׳ישראל מעולם לא רצתה שלום עם פלסטין׳. אם כבר, אז רצינו שלום יותר מדי. השאלה שצריכה באמת להישאל היא מתי הערבים הפלסטינים אי פעם רצו שלום עם מדינת היהודים היחידה?״ מתוך הנאום שלי בדיבייט באוקספורד (10 דקות עם כתוביות בעברית):

This is going to be explosive. That judgement stunk every which way.

In Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence. Due to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life. Today I parted company with Tony Pontius who has run my record label BGP for a number of years. I wanted to release 'We Will Dance Again' but he was unequivocal and said 'I want nothing to do with this song' and I responded 'ok, we are done'. When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. My faith in humanity will not diminish and the truth will always win. I will release it!

Very sad to hear Ed Stourton has passed away. He covered the talk I gave at Forest Hill School in Jan 2025 on my father's account of liberating Bergen-Belsen for 'World at One' on BBC Radio 4, to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust. I was honoured to meet him.

Watch what happened when 20 Americans who had no idea what actually happens to the hundreds of thousands of children of Gaza and Palestinian Territories who attend UN schools. Their ignorant eyes are opened to the lies they’ve been told all this time. If only millions more knew the truth.

The idea that Gazans, one of the most radicalized groups of people on planet Earth, are experiencing a genocide, is detached from reality. A mass psyop has convinced you it's true. Figured I'd take 80 seconds to debunk it while overlooking the beautiful Tel Aviv beach!
