For the first time in what feels like years I've actually published a blog on the Impression site! It sums up a lot of my recent experiences delivering SEO training projects and talks about their benefits for the whole business: impression.co.uk/blog/why-se…

Today's challenge: Wasp SEO. Opened the window for some air and IMMEDIATELY this little guy came to join me. Looking forward to writing quality SEO guidance with the threat of certian doom hanging over me.
I've been getting back into board game reviewing on @MattThomasson2's blog, the Friendly Board Gamer, and thought I'd share some here. I particularly enjoyed writing this post about the latest entry in my favourite board game series of all time, Clank: thefriendlyboardgamer.wordpr…
In a first for my agency career I did some client-inspired baking this weekend, making Welsh cakes to celebrate the end of a Wales-based project 🏴
And in true social media style this image shows nothing of the pain and rage involved in the 90 minutes it took to create them 😬
Impression's Organic Director, @Petejov, has written an excellent article exploring the benefits of combining SEO and CRO!

The marketing power of a good game...it took only a week or so after starting to play Marvel Snap for me to order a graphic novel just to find out more about one of my favourite characters/cards in the game, America Chavez.

My very tall colleague @aarondicks has created a nifty tool to extract URLs from sitemaps. It even works with index sitemaps!
Made a little wellbeing change at the start of the year – writing 'posture check' on the whiteboard that's just to the right of my screen. Every now and then I see it and it reminds me to stop slouching in my chair! It's a simple little trick, but working so far.
Marvel Snap has given me a very good example of the power of ads. I'm clearly their target audience (card gamer and Marvel fan) and I was absolutely battered by ads everywhere I went online (including YouTube videos for other games) for a month or more until I finally gave in 😂
Oh, and @LukeDavisSEO's tweet, coincidentally timed for when I was already seriously considering downloading the app, pushed me over the edge 😬
I seem to have forgotten how to sit in a desk chair over Christmas and now find myself uncontrollably lounging like a sloth.
Not what I bought the Dungeons & Dragons books for, but they do an excellent job of turning my kitchen counter into a standing desk ✅
It was great to be part of the @impressiontalk team that put our State of Retail whitepaper together. It's been a strange few years for ecommerce, but hopefully this resource will help you make sense of what we're seeing and what to do about it: impression.co.uk/resources/w…
Back at work after a fantastic time at #BrightonSEO. Highlights for me were @areej_abuali and @MrLukeCarthy on ecomm PLPs/facets and @GregGifford on running a successful agency, but it was a great day of talks all round!

I've written over 2,500 words about SEO today and realised how important writing is for me to feel engaged in the industry. It's been far too long since I've made time for it & it's boosted my enthusiasm like nothing else. Shows me how important it is to find what works & do it.
Really enjoyed this article! A great read with great insights as always 👏
Gordian knot. Chekhov’s gun. Arbitrage. The Hamming question. Oblique strategies.
These five concepts can overcome writer’s block, fuel your ideation, tighten up your self-editing, and make your writing more satisfying.
Let's put them to work:
