Hey @grok, is this true??
Some data centers now run on lab-grown human brain neurons derived from stem cells, wired directly to silicon chips via electrode arrays, and kept alive on life support. Fed sugar every few days. They play Doom. We don’t know if they’re conscious.
Maybe I'll get my long-held wish granted of a return to a plain text internet after all @LordAbrasivism @stefaniasettle
As the internet dies the inevitable future I see is a closed web…
Imagine social media reverts to 2005 era Facebook/AIM…closed loop networks of friends/family only…in person, human verified connections
Websites become outbound info only again rather than places you typically input your personal data.
People rely on human verified information…think 1999 Encarta Encyclopedia cirucilating on hard disks
Paywalls everywhere to keep bots & AI scraping at bay
Cloud data storage dies…data hosting becomes hyper localized on home/business storage.
Laws get put in place preventing companies from storing any data on external facing servers…people will own their own data and choose what to push outbound.
Undersea cables & data centers will be attack vectors in future wars. Networks will become a lot smaller and regionalized
Some will give up and revert to physical media (or digital copies completely cut off from connected networks)
OpenAI is completely washed
“There has been zero clamouring,” said one of the people. “All the prior times [OpenAI] have been on there’s been a frenzy. This time is a bit of a thud.”

Okay, I want you to consider this from a different angle. Seeing Omar all frightened and defeated, after her years of condescending arrogance, might seem satisfying to you. But consider the psychological effect this is having on corrupt officials around the country who up until a few days ago felt that they were also untouchable.
Prescriptions for anti-anxiety medications will skyrocket.

I love how Ilan's entire demeanour has shifted overnight from loud-mouthed, overly-confident, hateful smug bitch to shrivelled, timid, normie victim.
She knows she's fooked. God I hope she gets deported.

We didn’t even get into that part during diapergate, @BenSettle
Imagine if the harpies knew you never changed a single diaper nor did you ever do a night feeding

Travis Knight says that Amazon didn’t have enough faith in ‘MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE’ because “its life on streaming was much more important to [them] than in theaters.”
“It’s not something I understood going into it. I wanted their faith in us as filmmakers and in the movie to be rewarded in a way that wasn’t to my hopes and expectations. The film deserved a better fate than it got, but I’ve made peace with it.”

the idea of physical junk mail is fascinating
nobody wants it. it gets a near 100% negative reaction.
there are no people on the pro junk mail side saying "please send me more crap."
the entire experience is: print a million pieces of junk -> pay the post office to deliver them to people who don't want it -> the person on the receiving end is responsible for throwing it away...
it's a glorified garbage conveyer belt
the response rate is like 2-4% at best... which means 96 to 98% of us regular people are subjected to a daily onslaught of total garbage so that one person in about 200,000 can find a deal on someone to power wash their driveway.
insane, stupid system. should disappear.
En Sabah Nur is Ilhan Omar's brother @LordAbrasivism ?
Hey @grok, Who is “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi”? What is the full story behind this name, its connection to Ilhan Omar, and the allegations that have resurfaced? Could this threaten her citizenship or career?

Russert was one of the few Sunday political show talking heads who didn't sound like a traitor
Tim Russert collapsed at his desk in June 2008. He was fifty-eight.
He had known coronary disease. His doctor had him on a statin and blood-pressure medication. He exercised on a bike most days. Weeks earlier he had passed a stress test at a high workload with no symptoms. His LDL cholesterol, on the drug, sat at 68. That was the number his doctors considered controlled.
He was also significantly overweight. His waist was large. His triglycerides were high. His HDL had spent years in the twenties and had only reached 37. The combination was noted. The waist was the one his internist later called the single strongest predictor of mortality.
The autopsy showed an enlarged heart and a fresh clot in the left anterior descending artery. A plaque had ruptured. The numbers on the paper had been acceptable. The plaque was not.
He was doing what the guidelines asked. The plaque still ruptured.

Hang on! I didn’t say anywhere that Christians shouldn’t watch suspenseful or tense things. In the episode I specifically warn against movies that are meant to stoke paranoia, anxiety, a nagging sense of dread and fear. I don’t believe consuming that kind of content facilitates the peace to which God calls us. I also never said Christians can only watch Christian-branded entertainment or that we can’t watch things that are complicated and sometimes violent. My favorite movies of all time contain war and suspense and moral complexity. I still stand by what I said - we shouldn’t consume content that is intended to make us feel paranoid.
