Class act 👏
When Roy Keane went back to Cork in April 2025, there was a story that came out that didn’t sound like him at all.
A man called Pat O’Sullivan, 78, was in the Mercy Hospital with dementia, and his son Rob had been trying to get him a message from his hero. He contacted Cork’s RedFM, hoping they might be able to reach Keane for a quick shout-out.
And what Keane did next is why it hit people.
Because he didn’t send a video.
He just turned up.
Rob describes Keane walking into the hospital room and shaking his dad’s hand, like it was nothing, like it was the most normal visit in the world.
Keane went in to see Pat at the Mercy and made his day, and the family basically couldn’t believe he’d taken the time to do it in person.
And that’s the part that gets people.
Because Roy Keane’s whole public image is shouting, scowling, and telling everyone they’re not good enough.
Then you hear a story like this and you realise some of the kindest things he does are the ones he never needed anyone to see.🙏🏻❤️🤗⚽👹

Caps don’t win automatic work and they don’t make a brilliant pundit either. The way you communicate, articulate yourself, do your research, inform your audience, how likeable you are and the chemistry you have with your panel are what makes a brilliant pundit.

‼️ THE BONDI HERO ‼️
Ahmed El Ahmad, a 43yr-old father-of-two fruit shop owner.
After so bravely jumping on the first terrorist, he was then shot twice by the second terrorist, and is now being treated in hospital but expected to be OK. Thank you Ahmed. 👏👏

A man at Bondi Beach literally grabbed a terrorist’s gun with his bare hands and saved countless lives. That’s not bravery — that’s instinctive heroism. In a world full of fear, he chose courage. Respect to this absolute legend. #bondibeach #australia #shooting #bondi

A working family now needs £71k just to match the income of a jobless 3-child household.
This morning Starmer will claim he’ll cut welfare, but EVERYONE knows he hiked taxes to record levels to fund a bloated welfare state. Spare us. He rewards dependency, not work. Don’t believe a word he says.
