Bend Elks Baseball

The past week has been difficult to put into words. Bend is a town defined by its beauty, kindness, and, above all, the love its people have for one another. To see a place like this experience such a tragedy is heartbreaking. As our fall games were canceled, baseball took a backseat to what truly matters: the people who make this community so special. No words can fully capture the pain of those directly affected, but I hope they know they are surrounded by a community that cares deeply and will continue to stand beside them. Bend has always been more than baseball. The connections, compassion, and sense of togetherness that define this town are what make it so special. In the days and weeks ahead, I hope we can continue to lean on one another, support those who need it most, and remind each other that no one has to face difficult times alone. Though I may not call Bend home year-round, all of you have left a lasting mark on me. My heart is with everyone affected by this tragedy. Bend is strong, Bend is resilient, and Bend will always have a community standing together. Sending all of my love❤️

Bend is special. In Year 2 with the Elks, and at the heart of this entire community, I was reminded of that once again. Everyone can say the same thing about the place they work, but the Elks have created an environment that makes it impossible not to show up every day excited. The fans: incredible. 1,000+ a night, on any given night, is something you don’t stumble across often. To then watch our fanbase grow from afar, with our online stream expanding drastically thanks to the brilliant production of @Pierce_Gordon5, was incredibly rewarding. Seeing the vision Pierce and I had at ASU come to life in Bend was something I’ll always appreciate. But none of it would have been possible without the incredible parents, mentors, coaches, players, staff, and fans who tuned in and supported us every night. No soul goes unnoticed. This organization is outstanding. I only hope everyone gets the opportunity to be surrounded by people this kind. Above everything else, that is what is most important. The results on the field never tell the full story. Sometimes, that’s just baseball. But I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who allowed me into their homes each night to tell the stories of these amazing athletes and, more importantly, amazing people. Until next time, as always. 🫎 @BendBaseball

Thank you all for an outstanding 2026 campaign🫎 This community means so much to everyone involved and it never goes unnoticed. See you in 2027⚾️ @BendBaseball

In honor of Saint Mary’s taking on Stanford tonight, I wanted to spotlight the former @BendBaseball players who’ve become some of the top hitters for both programs⚾️ Diego Castellanos and @MakoaSniffen have been on another level at the plate this year📈 And @TeddyTokheim has starred in his true freshman campaign, emerging as Stanford’s top hitter and one of the most impressive freshmen in the country🔥

Former Bend Elk Alex Via has been incredible in his true freshman campaign at Portland, continuing to role against a potent Oregon squad. His ERA continues to hover right around 2.50. @BendBaseball

Happy to announce that I will be heading back to Bend for the summer of 2026 as the play-by-play broadcaster for @BendBaseball🫎 It’s impossible to overstate what this organization has meant to me and the opportunities they’ve presented. I am blessed to have the chance to come back, and a big thank you to the Hirko’s and everyone else involved. The way that Bend embraces the Elks makes my job even more rewarding, being able to share the stories of these outstanding collegiate baseball players looking to play at the next level. Stoked for another season! See you on Opening Day from Vince Genna Stadium on May 29th⚾️
