/𝒩𝑜𝓉 𝒜𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑒 —> 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝐸𝓃𝒹 As the years passed, the child grew beneath the branches of the old tree. The world became bigger, the roads became longer, and life slowly carried the child beyond the little place where everything had begun. But no matter how far the child wandered, the tree remained. Through the storms, it stood firm. Through the cold, it held its branches wide. And whenever the wind grew stronger, it bent without breaking, making sure the little one beneath it was safe. The child never truly understood how much the tree had endured. There were days when its branches ached beneath the weight of the rain, when the wind threatened to tear away its leaves, and when the darkness of the night made even the strongest roots tremble. Yet the tree never stopped protecting the child. One day, the child looked up and noticed the marks left by the passing years. The branches were older, the trunk was stronger, and the leaves had changed with every season. For the first time, the child wondered how the tree had managed to remain standing through so much. And then, a quiet truth found its way into the child’s heart. The tree had never stood there simply because it had nowhere else to go. It had stayed because someone needed its shade. Someone needed its shelter. Someone needed to know that, no matter how frightening the world became, there would always be a place where they were safe. And suddenly, the child understood. The tree was more than a tree. It was a father. A father who had stood between his child and the storms of life, who had carried worries in silence, who had sacrificed pieces of himself without ever asking to be seen. A father whose love had never needed grand words or promises. It had been there all along, in every shadow that offered comfort, in every branch that blocked the rain, and in every moment the child had mistaken protection for something ordinary. The child stepped closer and rested a hand against the old trunk. For a moment, there was nothing to say. Because sometimes, we understand the deepest love only when we are old enough to recognize everything it took to protect us. The tree could not speak. But it did not need to. Its branches moved gently in the wind, embracing the child one more time. And beneath that familiar shade, the child finally understood what had always been true: Even when the world felt too big, even when the path ahead seemed uncertain, even when the child believed they were facing life alone… They had never been alone. Because a father’s love does not always walk beside you. Sometimes, it stands behind you, quietly holding its ground, making sure you have somewhere safe to return to. And long after the child grows up, long after the seasons change, that love remains. Like a tree that never stops reaching toward the sky, and never stops offering shelter to the life it helped grow. 🌳/𝒩𝑜𝓉 𝒜𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑒
At the beginning, the tree stood alone. Its roots held it to the earth, its branches stretched toward the sky, and its leaves swayed with the wind. It had stood there for so long, watching seasons change, watching the world move around it… yet never truly sharing a moment with anyone. Until one day, a child appeared beneath its branches. Small and quiet, the child sat in the shade of the lonely tree. Perhaps looking for a place to rest, perhaps searching for a little comfort. And for the first time, the tree had someone to shelter. The child found a place to belong, and the tree found a reason to stand a little taller. Nothing about the tree had changed. Its roots were still buried in the same soil, and its branches still reached for the same sky. But now, when the wind passed through its leaves, it no longer felt quite so alone. Sometimes, a connection doesn’t need words. Sometimes, all it takes is a little life beneath a tree to turn loneliness into belonging. 🌳 /𝒩𝑜𝓉 𝒜𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑒

𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗠𝗢 𝗜𝗡 𝗡𝗙𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗨𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬. When every new collection feels like something you have to buy, it becomes easy to forget what brought many of us here in the first place: 𝗔𝗥𝗧. FOMO pushes collectors toward whatever is loudest, newest, or trending, while artists who spend years developing their craft can quietly get overlooked. The damage isn’t just financial. It can be discouraging for artists who create because they believe in their work, especially when attention becomes more valuable than creativity, originality, and intention. Theoretically speaking, if I had spent months creating a finely curated 200 piece 1/1 glitch art collection…. And if I had plans to drop it soon….. Are you minting a piece? 👁️ I’m taking notes.

Every Trace starts as a grid. 2,535 cells. each one holds a single hex digit, 0 to f: how bright that spot is. that's all the grid knows. That grid lives onchain, in the token's own record. when you call tokenURI, the contract hands it to the renderer. the Cipher and the black and white version have grids of their own. The grid doesn't store letters, dots or blocks. a style reads each value and picks a symbol for it: denser symbols for brighter cells, lighter ones for darker cells. Change the symbols and the character stays the same. the grid holds the shape. the symbols are just one way to write it. Trace #1022, drawn from one grid, in 25 styles.

Last night was an absolute movie, and my heart is full seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces and feeling their excitement!!!! It took a tremendous amount of time, energy, and resources to bring that party to life, and it was the perfect ending to an amazing @artblocks_io Marfa week! Im so grateful to everyone who came to support, and to @AdamWeitsman for having the incredible hunger to keep pushing this space forward, ESPECIALLY the IRL aspect of it. I truly believe that is where the real magic occurs!! Now it’s time to decompress, and figure out how we 10X the experience for next year! 🙏❤️🙏

< half of what you know > most of what the world believes is about half of what we actually know. we take a true thing, cut it where it starts to suck, and keep the piece that fits in a pocket. churches keep the love and lose the judgment. a song becomes a slogan and the slogan becomes a t-shirt. a half-truth is just a true thing that got tired of it’s other half, or the carrier chose to bury it. take two bob marley songs. "get up, stand up" became a chant you can shout at anything, and it is actually a song about knowing. it says the people telling you to wait for your reward have never been where they are sending you - and what is holy is in the room, alive, right now. "one love" became a wedding song played by every bad wedding dj ever, and it is actually about a reckoning. it asks what will happen to the man who has hurt everyone, refuses to answer, and tells us to gather anyway, before the verdict, with him in the room. i made eleven claims from those songs. each gets a work and something for you to do. wait for a picture. it will not finish. type a name. it will not keep. hold someone who will not turn around. wipe something clean. stand up. again. keep your eyes shut if you like. at the last door, decide whether the person who hurt you gets in. the works arrive in coarse dither. enough to make out a shape. your actions clear them, sometimes. meanwhile, the room keeps score. passing costs five. that gets you down to about half. waiting costs. standing pays. the meter is out of sight. afterward, you get the whole picture. every work, every instruction, everything you did. an itemized bill with nothing left to buy. i do not know what a reckoning looks like. i made this small enough to fit on this stupid screen. eleven questions. a score nobody gets to keep. the room can tell you what you did. it cannot tell you whether you were right. the person who hurt you is still at the door. that is as far as i got. it may be minted. maybe for me. maybe for anyone. for now, if you want to explore the work hit the link m0dest.xyz/reckoning/
