Translation: For what it’s worth, ministers who have no chance of keeping their chauffeur-driven ministerial cars if Starmer goes insist he can and must survive...
For what it’s worth, ministers loyal to Starmer insist he can and must survive the Mcsweeney resignation because - to quote one - “the country doesn’t want a new prime minister” (to be discussed) and “neither Wes [Streeting] or Angela [Rayner] have made any kind of convincing case for how they would be better” (it’s early days though).
They believe that now the jeopardy to the PM and the stability of the government is a very real thing, back benchers will “grow up” and rally behind the PM. Though they accept the coming few days will be perilous for him.
Much depends on who he appoints as his new chief of staff and how he reconstructs his Downing Street operation. Apparently he has been giving “much thought” to this in recent days.

I haven’t had a letter from you.
But since you ask, there are no asylum seekers in hotels in Tonbridge and Malling.
Well done @Conservatives led @eppingforestdc for forcing such a positive change in their area.

The wreck was salvaged over the years and the timbers were eventually brought to the surface and the tables were manufactured by Thurston in the 1840’s. We are using the table number to identify the year of manufacture. End.
Royal George sank on 29 August 1782 whilst anchored at Spithead off Portsmouth. The ship was intentionally rolled so maintenance could be performed on the hull, but the roll became unstable and out of control; the ship took on water and sank. More than 800 lives were lost. 2/
We have just acquired one of only a handful of billiard tables made from the ships timbers of HMS Royal George. The only known existing tables are at Burghley House, a working men’s club in London and ours. The table that was in Windsor Castle was destroyed during the Blitz 1/ – at Wateringbury, South East
