Very sorry to hear this today. Sister Majella was one of those people who changes your life when you meet them. I remember when @helenfallon introduced us I knew I would never see some things the same again. May she RIP.

In response to the disciplinary realignment of Anthropology, we’ve created nine, one-member anthropology departments. Everyone is a chair, but no one gets a stipend or course release. Your strategic plans are due next Wednesday.

Not a governance expert but I've audited enough Exec Ed. Shareholders elect the board as their oversight of management activities includes that of the CEO and it also ensures separation of powers and lessens chance of Tier 2 and 3 conflicts. imd.org/research-knowledge/c…

@simonharristd approved the MU plan to replace elections with a scheme where the chief officer appoints the members of its Governing Authority. We await his response to an @ifut letter setting out concerns about governance & democracy, & requesting action.

Maynooth IFUT branch committee was not approached for comment on this story, but we're highly concerned about many issues raised in relation to internal governance of Maynooth Uni. IFUT's position is that staff should elect staff members of oversight body. m.independent.ie/irish-news/…

I agree with much of this FT article. Especially with @p_openshaw and Deborah Dunn-Waters @beecellnumbers. Immunity Debt is a misguided, dangerous concept that plays into a Great Barrington argument around letting infection rip through society. ft.com/content/0640004d-cc15…
