It was a great pleasure to sign a new EU–India Security and Defence Partnership with @DrSJaishankar today.
The pact launches an annual security and defence dialogue – with the first meeting taking place in a month – and deepens cooperation on maritime security, cyber issues, and counterterrorism. We will also explore Indian participation in European defence initiatives.
As the global order shifts, the EU will continue to deepen its diplomatic and economic ties across the world. Strong partnerships multiply our strength.

It was a privilege sharing and listening to the many recollections of the dramatic events of last summer with students and panel members!
Chargé d'Affaires Bernd Spanier participated in the dialogue "One year on: Revisiting the Role of Youth and Bangladesh's Transition Towards Democracy", organised by the Center for Peace Studies at North South University.
The event - which also featured a photo exhibition - commemorated the mass uprising of last summer, but also looked ahead to building Bangladesh's democratic future.
