What kinds of strange creatures did our ancient ancestors see? Across various pieces of art thousands of years old are weird unidentified and terrifying animals. These are the hidden cryptids in ancient artwork.

And this is the issue that mentions that older 1948 film (right column):
On the Iberian peninsula of Europe a horse known as the "zebro" used to be reported until the 1600s, with markings somewhat like a zebra, but brown in color. Interestingly it was thought that the zebro may have been a surviving European wild ass, a species long thought extinct
Wait a minute, something, not right
Why are wild parrots in San Francisco? Smh, there are too many invasive species

Experts said that the so-called Kansas Lake water monster should be just a Zheluo salmon. According to the tourists who took pictures, when it jumped out of the water, it also raised a 1-meter-high wave, and then soon sank to the bottom of the water, leaving

Day 147 of drawing every day until my skills improve. Yoli. Here we see a pair of Yoli loving each other under the moonlight. The male's design was inspired by level 40 creatures in Jurassic World: The Game. Man are they extra. #art #cryptid #cryptozoology #paleoart #paleontology

Capturing Bigfoot Instant Reaction:
This is a superb documentary that relies on primary sources to cripple belief in the famous Patterson-Gimlin footage of Bigfoot. It's also a morality tale of how seemingly simple sins can damage families and communities, and how the truth will set you free. Five stars!
My review, film of the year and one of my favorite documentaries ever. If an extended version drops like they've been discussing it will go on my Christmas list.
Very happy with how the whole thing turned out
The shocking true story behind one of the most infamous pieces of footage in history, told by the people who’ve lived with its ramifications. CAPTURING BIGFOOT is now available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video. More info: capturingbigfoot.com
In the Eastern part of Cameroon a giant river dwelling lizard known as the "yoli" was said to exist. It was like a snake, but it also had two legs. Not only could it hunt in water, but it would also sometimes slither up trees to hunt birds and monkeys.
I'm finally watching this with my friend and I noticed that Greg Long said this was the first footage of bigfoot. Since they found this long lost film, maybe someone can find the alleged 1948 footage next!

Day 146 of drawing every day until my skills improve. Triassic kraken. Sometimes people will do whatever it takes to be the next big thing in paleontology. This is no exception. See also: David Peters. #art #cryptid #cryptozoology #paleoart #paleontology

One of my favorite cryptids is the so-called "Triassic Kraken". It's supposedly a super intelligent extremely old species of squid. What makes it so interesting is that, according to the man who theorized it existed, the kraken made a self portrait using ichthyosaur bones!

59 years ago: One of the most scrutinized pieces of footage in history, the Patterson-Gimlin film was shot today & remains just as famous & controversial. Happy Sasquatch Awareness Day!

Boom! MARKETING!
The iconic Bigfoot video from 1967 is officially confirmed to be a hoax after new archival footage was found for an upcoming documentary.
