I am a Breast Cancer Survivor 💖🩷
My name is Cathy Walker, and I have proudly served with the Birmingham Police Department as an administrative clerk for over 25 years.
In April of 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer.
I was able to begin radiation treatments and, by September of 2020, I returned to work.
Looking back, I can truly say it is only by the grace of God that I am still here. After everything I went through, I am thankful to say I don’t look like what I’ve been through.
Every day is a blessing, and I give God the glory for carrying me through.
