Sam Froling: "Consistently, [Dan] Grida comes in and he brings the energy... we take him out because he's gassed, and the energy drops. We have one guy leading from that front right now, and that's not good enough; that's not gonna win us basketball games. We need everyone on the court to have that same energy that Grida carries, for us to win basketball games."
Grida was a +5 tonight, and is a team-high (no-one is close) +40 through #NBL27 thus far.

This was also nice to see. Obviously Cole Anthony is popular so the line of those wanting autographs + photos was particularly long. He stayed back an extra ~15 minutes beyond the allotted time (all the other players’ lines were done) to make sure he got to everybody.

For context
I’m sure he had Euroleague/Eurocup/NBA offers.
Some players want to actually play & not just be on a NBA roster. Then everywhere in Europe don’t have great reputation to American hoopers, they’re also finding out Australia/NBL is really similar to USA on/off court
NBA STAR COLE ANTHONY IS UNITED.
A 355-game NBA veteran entering the prime of his career, Anthony comes to us as one of the most athletic and dynamic guards the NBL will have ever seen.
Five seasons with Orlando. One with the Bucks. Next: Melbourne.

As an @OrlandoMagic fan in Australia, this makes me happy. But as an Illawarra Hawks man, this is worrying! So many Orlando guys have played here recently 🙌🏻
BREAKING.
Melbourne United have completed their roster for NBL27 with the blockbuster signing of NBA veteran Cole Anthony, reuniting the 26-year-old with former Orlando teammate Joe Ingles.
NBL27 is genuinely insane folks.

Ability to add 3 imports to this roster is huge… or Olbrich and 2 imports 😏
Although the Illawarra Hawks have had little movement this off-season, the announcement that Tyler Harvey, a six-year, 194 game veteran of the league, is about to become a local is huge.
This now gives the Hawks the ability to marquee Harvey, opening up an extra import spot (3) for the 2026-2027 season.
Huge for the club, and even better for Harvey and his family.

Quarter final - down 2 in OT, with 5.5 seconds left… enter Landon G Buckets - THE G STANDS FOR GETS to tie it up and force double OT 😤
Then went on to get the W by 1 🙌🏻🥹
