BEFORE YOU MINT AN NFT, READ THIS.
GM, Web3 fam! ☀️
Before you mint that NFT because the artwork looks amazing or everyone on your timeline is talking about it, pause for a moment.
Do you understand what you're actually buying?
An NFT is more than a picture.
Here are 5 things you should understand before minting one. 🧵👇
1. UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU OWN
Buying an NFT doesn't automatically mean you own the copyright to its artwork.
You generally acquire the specific token and whatever rights the seller or project grants you under its terms.
Before minting, ask:
~What exactly does the NFT represent?
~Are any commercial rights included?
~Where can you find the ownership terms?
Never assume that owning the token means owning every right to the artwork.
2. UNDERSTAND ITS UTILITY
Some NFTs provide access to communities, events, games, or other experiences.
Others primarily offer collectible artwork.
Neither category automatically guarantees value.
Before minting, ask:
→ What does this NFT actually offer?
→ Are the benefits available now or only planned?
→ Can I verify those benefits through official sources?
Don't buy based on promises you haven't investigated.
3. RESEARCH THE PROJECT
A polished website and an active social account aren't proof that a project is trustworthy.
💯DYOR
Check the official website, documentation, project history, and community announcements.
Look for clear information about the team, roadmap, and what has actually been delivered.
Be especially cautious of pressure to mint immediately before you've had time to investigate.
4. UNDERSTAND THE COSTS
The mint price might not be your only expense.
Depending on the blockchain and marketplace, you could encounter:
~Network gas fees.
~Marketplace fees.
~Transaction costs.
~Additional costs when transferring or selling.
Understand the full cost before confirming a transaction.
And remember: a low mint price doesn't automatically make an NFT a good purchase.
5. PROTECT YOUR WALLET
NFT minting can expose you to scams and malicious transactions.
Before connecting your wallet:
🔐 Verify you're using the project's authentic website.
🔐 Read transaction details before signing.
🔐 Never share your seed phrase or private keys.
🔐 Be suspicious of unsolicited mint links and urgent messages.
🔐 Remember that a familiar-looking website can still be fraudulent.
If something doesn't look right, stop and investigate.
THE TAKEAWAY
NFTs can be art, collectibles, membership tools, or components of digital experiences.
But understanding what you're buying matters more than following the crowd.
Before your next mint, remember:
OWNERSHIP.
UTILITY.
RESEARCH.
COSTS.
SECURITY.
Learn first.
Verify second.
Make an informed decision.
That's how to build a more informed Web3 community. @QuantumCM7
What do you investigate first before minting an NFT?

In Web3, Don't Just Tell People. Show Them.
TGIF, Web3 builders! ☀️
In Web3, everyone can claim to be a contributor.
Everyone can say they're building. Everyone can claim they're helping a community grow.
But there's one thing that makes a difference:
💯👊🏾Evidence.
Let's talk about why verifiable contributions matter more than hype.🧵👇
😏CLAIMS ARE EASY. PROOF TAKES WORK.
Imagine two people applying for the same Web3 community role.
~Person A says: "I'm an experienced community builder."
~Person B shows:
A community onboarding guide they created.
Educational content they published. Examples of questions they helped answer.
Results they can substantiate.
Who gives a potential employer more information to evaluate?
✅ Person B.
Your claims introduce you. Your evidence helps people assess your work.
🤔WHAT COUNTS AS VERIFIABLE CONTRIBUTION?
It depends on the work you're doing.
~✍️ Content creator: Links to original articles, threads, or educational posts.
~🤝 Community builder: Examples of onboarding resources, events organized, or support provided.
~🔎 Researcher: Documented analysis with sources and clear reasoning.
~🛡️ Security learner: Practice reports, responsible disclosures, and reproducible findings where appropriate.
You don't need to exaggerate your achievements.
Start by documenting what you actually did.🎯
Transparency Builds Trust💯🥂
Transparency means being clear about what you know, what you did, and what you can prove.
It also means acknowledging limitations.
~Don't claim a project is secure because you glanced at its contract.
~Don't claim you grew a community unless you can explain your contribution.
~Don't present a planned feature as one that's already live.
Credibility grows when your claims match the evidence.🫡
🍷WHY THIS MATTERS FOR WEB3 CAMPAIGNS
Campaigns often involve tasks, participation, and some form of contribution evaluation.
But the exact rules differ from project to project.
Before participating, understand:
~What the campaign actually requires.
~Which contributions qualify.
~How submissions are verified.
~How rankings and rewards are determined.
~Where official updates are published.
Never assume that likes or posting frequency automatically determine your ranking.
Verify the rules before investing your time.
🧑🏽💻MY HAZEL STUDIO JOURNEY
As I work toward the Hazel Studio campaign's Top 100, I'm also thinking about what I want this journey to demonstrate.
I want to improve my Web3 education content, strengthen my community-building skills, and create work I can show as part of my portfolio.
The campaign is a goal, but I don't want my entire contribution to end with a leaderboard.
I want the skills, knowledge, and evidence of my work to remain valuable beyond the campaign.

🏆THE FRIDAY CHALLENGE
Before you make your next claim about your Web3 work, ask yourself:
~Can I show evidence?
~Can someone understand exactly what I contributed?
~Are my results accurate?
~Am I being transparent about what I haven't done?
Remember:
Hype might attract attention.
Verifiable work gives people something concrete to evaluate.
Build honestly. Document your progress. Let your work speak.
GM, builders. 🤝
What's one contribution you've made in Web3 that you can actually prove?

I’m Axtronaut
The 1st Web3 Event Content in Africa🎥
I basically seat at the intersection of onboarding key web2 players/ professionals to web3 space through events.
I got onboarded to web3 through events, i have a community of 300+ members and most of my mutuals have gotten jobs through most of the events i have shared.
Event has made an impact on me & I have made an impact on people through EVENTs.
Now, this is just the beginning because if a single web3 event could onboard me as an engineer to web3.
Then more events i attend would onboard/impact the next set of web3 industry players.
If you have an event you are planning/ hosting/attending, let’s do something together🫶

Posts like this in 2026 still surprise me.
Bold claims without data or verification😂
Upskill into what, exactly?
Anthropic's junior tech hires fell from 27% to 9% while their agents took over the work juniors used to learn on.
Making post like this in a tech space, leaves me confused 😂. AI will sure replace the version of you that refuses to use it.
If your upskilling is not ai-inclusive, you're training for the job that's leaving.😂😂

Recently a research was done within the anthropic ecosystem and it was concluded tht Agents function 6x the human supervising them.
Making judgment and Trust the new bottleneck.
It's not necessarily going to be just about speed anymore cause human accountability and high-level direction is unlikely to disappear entirely in the near term for anything that ships to users or production.

You don’t become dangerous in an industry by knowing the headlines.
You become dangerous when you can explain the meta better than the “experts“: what is working, why it is working, who is winning, and what is likely to happen next.
