What's your vote? To be honest, I have never been a fan of the baby blue. I like the new livery personally.

FAA’s MOSAIC rule opened up a world of possibilities for light-sport aircraft. Cosmic Aerospace is exploring almost all of them. vist.ly/5i4bn

Replying to @jonostrower @theaircurrent
This would be great if it automatically revoked your pilots license until you fly 6 hours with a CFI every time you “break the glass”
Wouldn’t mind having this in case I’m flying my wife in the Aerostar and have a heart attack, but it’s Pandora’s box for sure

Auto land come to we Lighters, well for Emergencies that is
Earlier this summer, I was given a live aerial demonstration of Garmin’s new (nearly certified) Emergency Autoland system. What I saw has the power to change aviation forever. One button to land. More to come on @theaircurrent.

Aviation daily thread 24/3: How did you find your love of aviation? For me, I’ve always been a light aircraft person, never really ‘heavy iron’. How about you?

I have spoken to some wonderful people today. 💕 a @FlyLoganair captain I’ve not heard in a while. Pleasure to have him back on frequency and know he’s safe & well. Multiple light aircraft & helicopters that are happy to be back in skies too. ✈️🚁

✅ Bell 206 JetRanger jet helicopter
✅ Piper PA30-C Apache light twin
✅ Cessna 182 Skylane piston single
✅ Embraer ERJ-175 jet airliner

Most pilots are happy to let you look around the cockpit, but here’s my tips:
• Not if we’re running late
• We can only do it on the ground, engines off, usually only at the gate
• Photos are fine, have your camera ready
• Kids or adults – it’s all good!
• Be quick – no more than a few minutes
• You can put your hands on the yoke, but don’t start jerking it around
• Don’t push any buttons w/o asking
Most importantly…
You have to ask! We generally don’t approach random people & invite them (it’s awkward). You can ask a flight attendant or catch us as we get to the gate

Utair 737-800 almost lands on a runway under construction at Grozny Airport in Chechnya.
Footage shows the 737 (RA-73089) of Utair approaching Grozny airport early this morning from Antalya as flight UTA742.
For some reason, the pilots confused the runway and began approaching the closed and under construction runway.
On the second attempt, the crew made a safe landing on the active runway.
