After the midterms the Dems will try to ensure Trump is prosecuted.
Here's how.

Replying to @IndependenceSCT @theSNP
First step is recognition that the people of π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ are sovereign and do not require to plead before WM for a referendum; the job needs done in π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ.
There is a rare and precious thing in politics: a movement that remembers what it is for. Not for careers, not for faction, not for the endless theatre of internal score-settling β but for the dual, shining purpose that has sustained generations of Scots. Independence, and the unity required to achieve it.
The right of this nation to take its place among the free countries of the world, and the determination to bring every willing Scot together in pursuit of that goal.
That is the beauty of the Alliance to Liberate Scotland.
We are a party for independence and for unity, pure and simple. Nothing more, and nothing less. From the very beginning we have shouted this truth from the rooftops: independence is the destination, and genuine unity is the only reliable road. One Movement. One Purpose. One Scotland. In an age when parties can become ends in themselves, when the machinery of politics sometimes obscures the destination, here is a formation that keeps its eyes fixed firmly on both the prize and the people needed to win it. We do not seek to replace the broad church of the independence movement. We seek to strengthen it under one inclusive umbrella. We do not demand loyalty to one organisation above the cause. We offer a space where the cause itself is sovereign, and where every pro-independence party and organisation is welcome to stand together.
This is a unity movement in the truest sense: not unity enforced by discipline or decree, not unity limited by who is granted a seat at someone elseβs table, but unity freely chosen around the one thing that matters. Independence Unites Us. We have said this for a long time β longer than some who now echo the language as if it were newly discovered. The Alliance has always understood that the movement must be a broad alliance of the willing β open, outward-looking, and united in purpose even when diverse in method. Our door remains open to all pro-independence parties and organisations. Collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared determination to advance the argument for Scotlandβs right to choose: these are the marks of a movement that has learned from both its triumphs and its setbacks.
We have been here before. In 2014 the Yes campaign showed what is possible when people of different traditions, parties, and none set aside secondary differences and work together for the primary goal.
The energy, the creativity, the sense of possibility β that was the beauty of a people discovering their own power. The Alliance to Liberate Scotland seeks to recapture and renew that spirit for the challenges of today. We understand that independence will not be delivered by any one organisation alone. It will be delivered by a people who refuse to be divided against themselves, gathered under one common purpose.
One Scotland. Every Voice. One Future.
There will always be those who prefer the comfort of familiar trenches. There will always be the temptation to prioritise institutional advantage over national progress, or to decide narrowly who is permitted to contribute. But the beauty of a clear-eyed independence party committed to unity is that it calls us back to first principles. Scotland is not a party.
Scotland is a nation. The people of Scotland are sovereign. And when that sovereignty is exercised in a free and democratic vote, the result must be respected and implemented.
To all those already engaged in the struggle β in every pro-independence party and organisation, in the countless local groups and campaigns that keep the cause alive day by day β the message is simple.
United for Scotland. The destination is the same. The work of persuasion, of hope, of practical preparation for the responsibilities of statehood, can and must be shared under one umbrella. Let us encourage every genuine initiative that advances the argument. Let us judge parties, organisations and individuals not by the badge they wear, but by the contribution they make to the cause of Scotlandβs freedom.
The Alliance to Liberate Scotland offers one such contribution: a focused, open, and collaborative party dedicated to independence and to the unity required to achieve it. In doing so we remind everyone of something essential. The beauty of our movement has never lain in uniformity or in selective invitations. It has lain in the shared conviction that this ancient nation has both the right and the capacity to govern itself.
That conviction remains as powerful, as relevant, and as necessary as ever.
Together, We Shape Scotlandβs Future. Let us work together β across all pro-independence parties and organisations, across differences of emphasis, across the natural variety of a democratic movement β to make that conviction a reality. Scotlandβs future is not a prize to be captured by one group. It is a birthright to be claimed by the people. In that claim, there is room for all who share the goal.
The cause is greater than any of us. That is its enduring beauty.

Utterly appalling betrayal of Sandie Peggie by the very union which should have protected her. Shame on the @theRCN
scotsman.com/news/politics/sβ¦
Incredibly disappointing outcome.
The dismissal today of Sandie Peggieβs case against the Royal College of Nursing should concern every healthcare professional who believes in biological reality.
Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, said:
βSandieβs story shows why healthcare professionals need a union that understands their convictions before a crisis begins.
βThe courtβs decision does not erase the fears and lawful beliefs of nurses who believe their union may not represent them robustly when disputes involve biological sex and gender identity.
βSandieβs experience shows how vulnerable a nurse can become when trust in union representation breaks down.
βGender-critical nurses deserve representation from a union whose starting point is clear: biological sex is real, freedom of belief matters, and lawful single-sex protections must be defended.
βThe Darlington Nursing Union exists to provide that representation. We will stand firmly alongside our members, seek early and effective resolutions, and defend them robustly if a dispute escalates.
"Our members should never have to question whether their union shares a commitment to defending their lawful rights."

Two years after our "Bohemian Trumpsody" #Queen parody (on Trump's presidential election, with footage from the Capitol attack - see below), here's our take on Freddie Mercury's high-energy belter, twisted to the forthcoming #Midterms, which we're calling:
π"Go, Stop Him Now!"
Here's our last parody song about the #USElection2024. It's called "Bohemian Trumpsody" (based on the inimitable @QueenWillRock but with only six voices & no overdubs) & we've self-trolled in it as 'libtards' already, just to save folks time who might be offended πΆπ³οΈπ€
