⚠️ Recruitment fraud warning
We've seen reports of scammers posing as recruiters for @Kusama, @Polkadot and the Web3 Foundation, asking applicants to pay for tests or assessments. In other cases, people are asked to download GitHub repos containing malicious code.
These are hoaxes.
Web3 Foundation does not charge people to apply for jobs. Polkadot and Kusama are decentralised networks, not employers.
Stay vigilant. Never pay to apply for a job, and be cautious before clicking on unsolicited links.

Referendum 1953 on Polkadot has executed, which fixes a technical issue allowing an additional 1.68M USDT + 1.68M USDC to be sent to the Polkadot Treasury.

I have seen several reports of a scam where people are required to pay money to take a test to apply to work for Web3, Polkadot or Kusama.
These are all scams. W3F does not charge people to apply for a position, and Polkadot and Kusama are decentralized networks which cannot do this.
The final 100k in stablecoins from Referendum 1501 have been moved to the Polkadot Treasury today, for a total of 4.06 million (evenly split USDT/USDC).
If Ref 1953 passes, that will bring over an additional 3.36 million in stables to the Treasury.

dotUSD is live on Polkadot.
Today a handful of companies issue and control most of the world's stablecoins worth more than $250B.
Like banks, they decide who can hold them and who can’t.
dotUSD is based on a different premise. It has no issuing company and no single point of control.
The DOT DAO governs it through OpenGov.
Polkadot now has a stablecoin that belongs to its network.

Web3 Foundation has voted today on two Polkadot Referenda:
1952: AYE. This is a reasonably priced projected from a proven team to teach people about Polkadot.
1953: AYE. This is a technical fix to transfer 3.36 million stablecoins which were intended to go to the Treasury already.

"Are you a unique human?" is the question Polkadot asks, and you can answer it without giving up your identity or being tracked across apps.
What matters is that you're a real person, not where you live or who you are.
