Ordinals are accelerating Bitcoin:
With higher sustained fees and block space demand, builders are racing to improve existing protocols or add functionality to easily βaccelerateβtransactions in the mempool.
Yes, plenty of ways existed before to do this - however, now the focus is on adoption and ease of use for the masses.
10 years from now, it will be obvious that having consumer friendly ways to speed up transactions is a net benefit for Bitcoin, I think. Or it will simply increase the demand for Bitcoin L2s and other scaling solutions.
And, if it turns out having easy UI ways to speed up transactions has some type of unintended consequences (it probably will), itβs better we identify and mitigate issues now, before more critical infrastructure relies on BTC.
