The more complex the agents I build, the more state machines (statecharts) feel like the right artifact.
Run the same inputs through different machines & compare. Keep the winner, or eval at transition level & combine the good parts.
Feels like building agents w/LEGO.

Mostly vanity metrics:
Total commits (quantity != quality)
GitHub stars (shows interest, not quality)
npm downloads (inflated by CI + bots)
Lines of code (more is usually worse, not better)
Code coverage (can be 100% and still buggy)

The lead maintainer of MCP, Den Delimarsky, has a warning:
"Don't translate your entire API into an MCP server." 100 endpoints as 100 tools is chaos for your AI client.
Design around user scenarios. Expose only what solves the workflow.

I love the potential of AI, but it also makes me a bit sad. Vibe coding feels like undoing years of hard-earned craftsmanship and precision. The challenge now is using AI to raise the bar, not lower it.

To clarify: I am extremely grateful to be where I am and that is made possible only by the companies and people supporting my open-source work. I have it better than most and I know that. That doesn't negate the fact that OSS sustainability was and remains a huge issue.

Tip for Claude Code: install the Context7 plugin to enable docs-aware tooling.
- Skill: auto-invokes Context7 for library/API lookups (no explicit prompting)
- docs-researcher agent: executes doc queries in an isolated context to avoid main-context growth
- Command: /context7:docs <library> [query] for explicit lookups
Install:
/plugin marketplace add upstash/context7
/plugin install context7-plugin@context7-marketplace

4 years ago, we decided to start a new life in a new country, I packed my bags and left to find a new home, a new life for the family, the start was not something I was prepared for, I had to be away from my family for next 10 months, those 10 months felt like ages, but we wanted to make it work for our daughter, we wanted to give her a better life, after the initial hiccup, everything settled, we found friends who are more than family, found a job which gave me a confidence boost, i will be always grateful to my friends who always checked on me and my family.
The new family I have in Germany, they did everything I never expected from them, they gave us lots of love 😘.
I still feel this is all a dream, I am sure my younger self would be so proud of myself, growing up in a slum I had no idea what I would be doing, I am here now in Germany, with my family and lots of friends.
Thanks to @Bitcollage who helped me move to Germany.
One thing I regret is not learning the language enough, that will change this year, I am going to make sure I speak enough Germany to communicate, the village where I live is amazing 🤩 the best people you can ask for, always ready to help and same applies to government officers and schools.
Next year's goal is to apply for citizenship.
