I stick by my girl but am personally disappointed in how little her character has to do with a really important and interesting era for Chinese-Americans. The Chinese Exclusion Act was repealed in 1943 and is probably why Violet can live in the US (she mentions a green card).
I’m really happy with her Chinese roots, but feel like a lot of lost potential to historically represent my community during this time. Her going to therapy and smoking weed and having disappointed parents cuz she went to art school is fun but also really anachronistic.
guy will refuse to touch how art history and politics and theory intersect (which is why his videos are so substanceless), but will go on twitter fights about how radical honesty is an constructive ideology that justifies him being a disreputable dick online.
Every design is so phenomenal, but I do think Violet's is the weakest of the bunch. Her model still feels unfinished and the costume and hair could feel more unified (beret + tang suit + shorts is a weird combo).
Six new heroes are coming to Deadlock:
The Rat King - Scrappy, Regal, Tenacious
Baba - Cackling, Beady, Hexing
Deadman Danny - Reckless, High-Flying, Explosive
Nurse Harrow - Strict, Terrifying, Savior
Violet - Expressive, Nimble, Creative
Solomon - Strategist, Grandmaster, Checkmate

goodbye lara finale spoilers, some cope thoughts on the ending and what the epilogue might mean under the HYPOTHETICAL that there's a continuation.
maybe this is a little radical, but my ideal animal crossing game is one where the town is pre-generated with more natural terrain. so instead of slopes and rivers that fit on a grid, it’s more organic, with an emphasis on landmarks and locations like the —
my fear for the animal crossing franchise is IF nintendo decides to go back to its life sim roots and remove a lot of the customization/dollhouse decor gameplay, newer fans of ACNH will get upset and call it a downgrade and stuff.
if i gotta be tom nook's tenant AND little work boy for the ENTIRE game again, i'm gonna puke. he went from a satirical "haha landlords suck huh?" character to a benevolent capitalist CEO establishing a colony island and the game expects you to see him as a good guy.
Looks like Twitter added a setting to stop people from editing your images, which is the reason I left. Dunno if it's worth pulling myself out of the shadowban.
I have the instinct to say fans criticizing the Ocarina of Time Remake are being biased or too harsh but then I remember how I feel about ACNH and Switch Sports Resort and I sit back down.
