I’m back in the hospital, and I’m feeling so worn down. My tube is coming out again—the balloon is in my abdominal wall, and the tube is kinked, making it hard to flush or get my medications through. When the pain became severe yesterday, I had to return to the ER. I’ve been admitted, but I’m still waiting for a room after 14 hours. I only got home on Thursday.
I’m still feeling awful from the last time I was in the hospital, and all of this is taking such a toll on me. I’m scared about surgery, too. I feel so weak that I’m afraid I might not make it through. I’m trying with everything I have to keep holding on, but right now, it’s incredibly hard. 💜

Boy, did I make the right call about admitting my mom to the hospital! The doctor told me bacteria from her UTI got in her bloodstream. I exclaimed “Oh my God! She’s septic?!” He said yes but she’s not in septic shock. Her highest temp was only 99°. He said the bacteria is pan-sensitive so they ought to be able to get it cleared enough to switch to oral antibiotics within 72 hours. Phew! She’s been assigned a room upstairs. I’m gonna go visit her.
