The hypocrisy is unbelievable!
We demand equality, diversity, representation, and inclusion. We say Black people aren’t a monolith. But the moment a Black man votes Republican, supports Trump, marries outside his race, or thinks differently, suddenly he’s not Black enough.
Look at the comments about Byron Donalds, Florida’s first Black governor.
“He’s not Black.”
“He married a white woman.”
“He’s an embarrassment.”
“He’s an Uncle Ruckus.”
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
You don’t have to like Byron Donalds. You don’t have to agree with his politics. But you don’t get to question his Blackness because he doesn’t share your ideology.
WHO APPOINTED YOU THE GATEKEEPER OF BLACKNESS?
Why do Black people have to vote Democrat to be considered authentically Black? Why can’t we have different political beliefs, different values, and different perspectives?
You cannot demand diversity while rejecting diversity of thought!
You cannot fight discrimination while discriminating against people who disagree with you.
Blackness doesn’t belong to the Democratic Party. Our identity isn’t determined by our voting record, political affiliations, or who we marry.
STOP CONFUSING RACIAL SOLIDARITY WITH POLITICAL OBEDIENCE!
We are individuals, not a political voting bloc.
