This is such a great way to take advantage of defenses playing off of Ausar
1) Fade Duncan to the spot next to Ausar
2) Immediately run a DHO to force Ausar’s defender to contest Duncan’s shot
3) Hit Ausar on the roll if Duncan doesn’t have an open shot
More of this in the offense, please!

The Pistons are 4-1 for the 14th time in franchise history.
The previous 13 made the playoffs 11 times, including the 2003-04 champs (54-28) and the 59-23 team in 2007-08.
However, the 2008-09 team opened 4-1 and finished 39-43.

Detroit just continues to work to get to their counters quicker. Playing through Reed looks like the handoff is to Cade. Knicks work to deny so Cade cuts backdoor. Gets McBride to switch and immediately posts up. Goes right up bfore the defense can help.

J.B. Bickerstaff on the Pistons’ foul trouble tonight against the Knicks:
“There is a discrepancy, there’s a physicality that we play with every night and the league should be accustomed to it…and it’s not going to change. We’re physical within the rules.”

The movement and flow from Detroit keeps standing out. Think it really boosts their second unit lineups. Getting to the next option, working to cut, making quicker decisions.
