There’s absolutely a specific type and race of people in Texas that are OUTRAGED after #KarmeloAnthony was found guilty of *murdering* #AustinMetcalf .
Not outraged because Metcalf was murdered, but outraged because Anthony was found guilty…..
A young life, too. Metcalf is permanently lost forever to his family. Anthony still sees the light of day and will one day more than likely be freed again.
And some “people” in our society are outraged about Anthony’s indictment and NOT Metcalf’s murder???

In the 1960s, after Lyndon B. Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the racists who supported segregation did not just disappear…
They left the Democratic Party and shifted politically. That is a huge part of the story that keeps getting left out.
AND THAT MATTERS.
Because when we, especially Black voices with big platforms, repeat half stories, it does not just stay a conversation. It spreads and it can be used against us.
We cannot afford to be loud and wrong at the same time, especially right now.
One party switched their entire ideology in the hopes of getting the black vote for power, & it worked.
The only one’s who really switched up were the biggest racists of the era because they were now going to hold positions of power forever with the way they’d manipulate votes.

Harry Douglas was absolutely right. None of the Falcons fans I know like the Stefanski hire. He had a losing record in Cleveland and they didn’t like how he handled the Shedeur Sanders situation. They LOVE Deion in the ATL. It’s a Black city, with one of the Blackest fan bases in the NFL, and they have a Black QB on their roster — so a lot of ATL fans are side-eyeing this hire. The fatal shooting in Minnesota is a tragedy — one that now leaves three young kids without a mother. I know as a former prosecutor and military veteran that sending armed, masked agents into communities to drive a political agenda does not make us safer, but it instead creates a culture of fear, distrust, and resentment.
