You can’t tell me there wasn’t a team in the AL that was better defensively than the Blue Jays
That was a painful campaign to watch and it doesn’t seem like an organization with that many errors should win the Gold Glove

Tears man that horrendous Yankees podcast spent an entire year posting blue jays errors and we won the team gold glove again (most prestigious award in baseball) 😭😭😭😭

MLB owners can relieve themselves of their onerous financial situation that has made them seek a salary-cap showdown: They can sell their team, at a whopping profit, to a list of buyers that stretches from here to the Continental Divide. But they aren’t interested for a moment in selling. Because their franchise valuation keeps climbing. But, ah, the tickler: Their MLB valuations aren’t rising as fast as they are in the NFL and NBA. The MLB chiefs want fixed costs that a cap can deliver. All of which is known by the players. And all of which further guarantees the players will not, and really should not, bow to a cap.

Arozarena makes more sense than Suzuki because the Jays are desperate for speed (especially since Straw is gone).
They both had comparable offensive years but I’m going with the guy who can add something we don’t have on top of a good bat.

I’ve said this for the last month, but I strongly believe Myles Straw will be coming back to Toronto; it will just be for less money than what his option was.
Straw is such a huge part of that clubhouse in every way that a coach would want, especially from a role player

If the Brewers win tonight and end the World Series:
- MLB teams are allowed to make trades again beginning tomorrow
- Team/Player option decisions must be made by Sunday
- Teams have until Sunday to decide on qualifying offers
- Teams are allowed to negotiate with and sign their own players only from Wednesday to Sunday
- Free Agents will be eligible to negotiate/sign with any team beginning Sunday evening
Could be some action starting early this year with the lockout coming in just over a month

I think we can count on Kevin Gausman not returning to the Blue Jays as he is selling his house in Toronto…

Blue Jays are now listed as a potential suitor for lefty Tarik Skubal
Honestly, I don’t see it happening. I think they need bottom of the rotation help and need to prioritize multiple bats way more than they have a calling for an ace

Free agents I would like the #BlueJays to pursue in the coming months:
- 2B Brandon Lowe
- DH/OF Seiya Suzuki
-RP Adrián Morejón
-Utility Ian Happ (4x Gold Glove)
- SP Sonny Gray (if opts out)
-SP Erick Fedde
- RP Steven Okert

Players I could see the Blue Jays trading in the coming months:
-Ernie Clement
-Davis Schneider
-Josh Smith
-Brendon Little

Now that the season is over I get to experience my favourite fall traditions:
-Thanksgiving

-The Yankees losing in the ALDS

The “World Series or bust” attitude is creating a toxicity within the Yankees fanbase.
20 of the Yankees 27 Championships happened before Free Agency existed.
20 of 27 happened when only one team from each league made the playoffs and went directly to the World Series.
16 of 27 happened before integration.
26 of 27 happened before the luxury tax era.
There have been zero repeat World Series champions in the luxury tax era.
Do I want a Yankees title as much as anyone else does? Yeah. But it’s so much more difficult to win one today than it was when our parents and grandparents were growing up.
Not having one since 2009 is a long time. And it’s hard to swallow. But comparing this drought to other eras in Yankees history is disingenuous when you examine the differences.
