The boys' team finished 6th! Grant Davis lead the way for the Huskies with a PR of 17:53 finishing 9th. Sawyer Kemp (14) and Oliver Howie (23) also came away with medals! Great effort by a young team!

HS coaches need to be very careful in the first few weeks back.
Injuries are not because you are running them too much.
Most injuries are a result of the difference between what the athlete tells you they’ve been running and actual mileage.

In the past week I’ve had 3 coaches reach out to me about dealing with parents, administration, and other coaches.
I told all 3 of them the same thing.
None of us began coaching for the parents, the administration, or other coaches. Just remember, we do it for the athletes.

I haven't met a long distance runner that doesn't crush it at life.
I'm not convinced running 26 miles is healthy, but you can't argue that it attracts total killers.
