As a fellow 35 year old man, I completely agree with @Alexarmstrong.
I am not going to die in a trench in the Donbas fighting Russia on behalf of Ukraine.
I couldn't give a toss about either country. Neither is worth sacrificing our lives for.
Britain has enough problems of its own.
Our communities need rebuilding. Our economy needs revitalising. Our public services need fixing.
Yet we seem endlessly fixated on conflicts thousands of miles away whilst our own country is falling apart.
I have absolutely no desire to fight Russia, nor do I believe British young men should be expected to sacrifice their lives for Ukraine.
Britain needs rebuilding, not another generation of young men buried in foreign fields.
Our priority should be fixing problems in Britain.

As a veteran, I completely get why @Alexarmstrong said
that. Our own government treats the SAS like criminals for doing the job they sent them to do, then expects young men to die for a country they are actively wrecking. It's easy for old men to bluster about war when they won't have to fight. Why should young British men fight wars abroad when the enemy is already here preying on women and children? Mobilise them against the invaders first and you might see a different attitude.

I completely disagree with Peter Bleksley here.
As I've already pointed out in another post earlier today, we're living in times where almost every expression of pride in our country is frowned upon. Where even displaying the country's flag can be met with hostility and accusations of racism.
So why should young Brits be expected to run into a warzone and potentially sacrifice their lives for a country that increasingly treats patriotism as something wrong?
You can't spend years making people feel ashamed of their country, its history and traditions, and then expect them to suddenly develop some overwhelming sense of national pride when there's a war to fight.
Never mind the fact that the greatest threats facing this country aren't coming from Russia, despite all the fearmongering from the Left about war. The greatest threats are already within our own borders.
