Another step forward for communities in western Deir ez-Zor.

أعادت الشركة العامة للمياه والصرف الصحي في دير الزور، الأربعاء، تشغيل محطتي مياه سفيرة فوقاني وسفيرة تحتاني بعد إعادة تأهيلهما، بالتعاون مع منظمة "بلومونت"، لتأمين مياه الشرب لنحو 28 ألف شخص.
وقال المدير العام للشركة أحمد الموسى، إن أعمال التأهيل شملت الأعمال الإنشائية وتجهيز الفلاتر واستبدال عناصر التصفية، إلى جانب تأهيل التجهيزات الكهربائية والميكانيكية وتدعيم محطة التناضح العكسي (RO)، لضمان توفير مياه آمنة وعالية الجودة.
وأوضح أن مياه محطة التناضح العكسي ستخصص مجاناً لمرضى السرطان وغسيل الكلى.
من جهته، قال المدير القطري للمنظمة في سوريا أحمد شماسنة، إن أعمال التأهيل استمرت 20 يوماً، مع تأمين المواد الكيميائية اللازمة لتشغيل المحطتين لمدة ستة أشهر، مشيراً إلى أن محطة حوايج أبو مصعة ستدخل الخدمة الأسبوع المقبل، لتخدم نحو 20 ألف شخص إضافي.
